I’d love a what if story where Malgus leads the CIS against the Republic with Sidious in control. The clone wars would have been very interesting if the leaders of both sides were sith of different ideologies, sidious being of the rule of 2 and Malgus following his vision of the sith. I can see the clones and Jedi collide with droids and dark siders, except this war would only have one army for each sith, rather than one sith controlling both.

Malgus is a prime Sith. A true warrior of the dark side. The way he abandons the Sith empire after they made peace with the Republic and their Jedi. For they went against the Sith Code itself.

Deceived. (All the Old Republic books are great, imo.) It also features Aryn Leneer stuff, who I don't necessarily care for so those parts are boring to me until they intersect with Malgus, but the Malgus content alone is well worth a read.

Satele didnt beat him in combat. She won because of help. Had the trooper not save her, Malgus would've killed her for certain.

Agree, but the context is that she won. She yeeted him into the mountain. Fight over. She moved onto the next chump.

@SWCentral He crawled out of the mountain and continued the fight. Its the same as Windu vs Sidious. Windu won the fight, but lost because of Anakin. Malgus won the fight, but lost because of Malcom, the trooper who detonated the grenade in Malgus' face. Point is...Shan couldn't beat Malgus in 1 v 1. Same as Sidious not being able to beat Windu in a 1 v 1.

I understand what you’re saying but it’s splitting hairs hehe… Yes he almost beat her and Malcom “saved” her however, Satele still dealt the finishing blow. I’m not saying Satele is better, I’m just saying she won the exchange, in the end. Appreciate you my friend!

And I can’t stand Luke, Yoda, most of that gen’s Council… The Padawan free for all at the Geonosis ‘rescue’ was just an embarrassment (even watching clips of the ‘charge’ made me wince), that killed way too many Clones solely because the Jedi were such terrible military commanders. But Satele? I don’t know…speaking ill of her is akin to blasphemy!

It’s possible that Acina gave Malgus to the eternal empire as tribute and then recovered him again later. It can fit either way :)

Malgus was a lazy coward. He should have talked to his wife and worked together with her as bait to draw out his political enemies and killed them together. Instead he killed her.

He might be a lot of things, but he wasn’t lazy. And killing her for living consistent with his principles was likely one of the most difficult things he’d done, which doesn’t mesh with cowardice. If he was Jedi, they could have worked it out, but he’s Sith, and she was a weakness - a vulnerability his enemies would exploit. The rogue Jedi Aryn Leneer actually kidnapped Eleena Daru, for personal reasons. His Sith ‘colleagues’ would do worse if and when it ever became advantageous for their advancement. I’m not advocating for what he did - I think it just reinforces what a monster he is. And as repulsive as we might find it, any Sith who understands the backstory would approve. Eleena wasn’t Malgus’ wife.
