Yo Hopsin I dont know if you'll see this, but when you started talking about how much work it takes to produce music from start to finish, from the beat, to recording and mastering. I dont know if you have ever heard of him, but there is an artist AK who believe it or not he said in a recent Facebook live he actually shares the same birthday as you and produces his own music. You should most definitely check him out. He actually mentions you and J Cole in his song Family tree as his main inspirations for doing what he does. If you do happen to somehow see this check out good thing, closed off and silence is violence by him. Also if you want to hear what I think is one of the best diss tracks I have ever heard look up M.U.S.H on sound cloud under the profile trackgen. Its a disk track that AK made and took down when he must have been 16 or 17 to someone in his local area and I think it can compete with some of the best diss tracks to have ever been release.

Hopsin's maturity is great to see. He can't have been easy to deal with at times with his moodiness and stubbornness and I feel for Dame on trying to manage that and keep everybody happy. It's refreshing to see Hop's growth as a person and I respect his ability to be honest and understand where he may have gone wrong at times. I think his emotions and stubborn attitude prevented him from being a much bigger rapper than he is. He's still got a good following and has done well for himself but with more guidance and a different mindset at points in his career I think he could've been huge. He is truly talented, but I think some of the issues described in this episode held him back from reaching his full potential. Still great to see this conversation! Loving this series so far.

CONSIDER THIS PERSPACTIVE! Even though this conversation seems very candid its difficult to judge what the true nature is of how it went down. What was forgotten and/or self-censured. This because dame and hop connected when hop was at his lowest point in his life. He was looking for true friendship and was extremly depressed. He had true friendship with funk volume. So i think partly he's scared of offending or disrespecting dame because he wnats true friends. This conversation seems to basically be hop being extremly self critical and watering down or rebutting his own critique of dame and dame criticising hop and defending himself (not owning up to anything). If hop had great family, friends and a great relationship with his relatives and had this conversation he would probably defend himself more and wouldn't feel a need to pander to dame.

I truly feel that Hopsin has grown a LOT with the way he’s speaking. Saying “I feel this way NOW and I USED to think that way THEN.” Or saying “I would never do that now.” On the other hand Dame is speaking about his negative feelings towards Hopsin’s past behavior in the PRESENT tense. Saying things like, “Why would you do this or do that?” It’s confusing because Hopsin JUST said that he acknowledged those past mistakes yet Dame continues to press on them. For instance, listen to Hop at 42:50 explain how he knows his actions were wrong (how he was a boy then and a man now) and then immediately afterwards at 43:57 Dame continues to press him asking “Why did UP have to be separate? I could’ve...etc.” Idk I’m not trying to be negative, it just seems like he’s still really emotional about all of it. Understandable but it’s the exact opposite of Hopsin’s growth.

Mixing and mastering is f!#%ing hard!!!!! I’ve just mixed my most perfect track I’m proud of it’s really hard cuz you do it and do it and hop has studio monitors I don’t I go in and out my car after mixing on headphones. So I know what it’s like to mix and master it drains you..
