The Furure of E-Bikes: Is Now The Time To Buy Them?

In this video, I talk about the recent updates and possible coming changes being talked about regarding possible legislation being passed as well as a new tariff that could be going into effect soon on ebike components. These changes could affect overall prices and begs the question: is it better to buy an ebike now or just wait it out?

Some of these E Bikes are insane. We just have a hub motor on a standard bike that we can pedal home. It’s insanely fast though depending on what speed mode you are on. Mine can do 30 mph. We usually do the 13 or 18 mph setting.

What kind of battery and controller setup are you running? How big of a motor?

@@RydinNStyle Ours is 48 Volt / 1000 watt set up. Don’t recall the brand off hand but it can cook. I think we have a 10 amp hour battery that gives us around 20-25 miles of range.

@@RydinNStyle it’s pretty Frankensteinly put together because the battery is huge and it was hard to find a place for it. We built a box for it for now where a water bottle would typically go and might do a rear/ mount above the wheel at one point but the weight distribution is a concern. It’s probably 50 -60 lbs (bike battery and hub)

Yes, aw tge6 evolve wothmor3 powerful motors and batteries, even adding dual motors and dual batteries, these bikes are reaching 100+lbs and 40+mph.

The future of ebikes is gonna be 15 miles an hour registering them insuring them and getting them inspected, it's all about the almighty dollar the government's gotta get theirs

It's probably better to purchase one now. The government is always trying to "look out for a safety." Uncle Sam is not welcome to this party.
