The thing with Raz’s dominion over TDS development is that they kept focusing on large, hyped updates every few months or year(s) at a time. After he quit, TDS kept pumping out small, consistent updates

I think Accel is just too good of a tower. Overshadows engineer even with the reworks.

On one hand, people can beat derelict outpost solo, an absolute nightmare of a challenge that makes you have limited vision, there are triple the enemies, and the path is not in your favor. On the other hand, you need VERY SPECIAL towers to even beat solo fallen in the first place. I tried using ace pilot and ranger on crossroads, and I ended up losing.

I think it's mainly due to raz leaving. Yes TDX probably encouraged them to work harder, and I think the Christmas event was heavily influenced to compete with TDX, but it's probably only a small factor

I kind of agree? I don't think nerfing Accel is a good idea, but it would be nice to see other towers be introduced or buffed to be very viable dps options rather than just accel. Since the engi buff I have not really used Accel since it's a nice breath of fresh air to not use him. Nerfing Accel is a bad idea tho since it's pretty much impossible to beat some modes without him, and the painful gem grind would mean it HAS to be good or players would get upset

The problem is that the main demographic was tds players, but the game was so similar to tds (i mean just look at shotgunner) that there was no real point grinding both, especially when tds is more polished. If they could utilise their unique mechanics more like killing towers, and make their towers stand out as their own the game will probably be better

1 - hardcore is really easy 2 - 300 gems is good, you can get all 3 gem towers in 30 hc games which is only 15 hours + about 1,5 hour looking for team, like if you will play only 1 single hc game a day you will get necro, engi and accel in 1 month
