The Future of Dragon Ball Super Is Obvious

With the most recent chapter of Dragon Ball Super leaving us on a break; I've had some time to process the chapter itself and some of it's implications for the future. After pondering on the possible directions of the story once it returns from it's indefinite hiatus, I truly believe that I have a great idea of the future of Dragon Ball Super, and in this video; I'll be giving a brief recap of events as it's been a while, perform analysis on some parts of these events, and go into depth as to what the future of Dragon Ball Super could be & why I believe this. With that said, let's get into it.

The greatest possibility of a good final for super is a black frieza saga. However i think think black frieza saga will have multiple arcs and we will see Frieza plotting to cause a problem to the gods themselves. It would also be nice to see more of universe 6 and 11. Goku and Vegeta being masters to Caulifla and Cabba are storylines that could use more development.

Also as part of Goten’s and Trunks’s development moving forward while also getting to potentially explore the other universes and also hopefully later train and go on adventures with Uub along with all three of them hopefully becoming a trio, I also really hope Goten and Trunks join and work for the Galactic Patrol and go on tons of missions throughout Universe 7 and special missions in the other universes while they as Galactic Patrolmen keep up with their training and train under Merus and other characters as I feel that would be amazing development for Goten and Trunks, really fit their characters while supporting themselves financially, be a great way to expand and evolve their potential and also be great way to gain more experience and keep up with their training while Goku is training Uub, and I feel we would also get really great, fun, unique, and interesting storylines and arcs with Goten and Trunks as Galactic Patrolmen. I also hope the boys moving forward as well and hopefully in the next arc will get Ssj2 and then later hopefully get Ssj3 individually, actually master, enhance, and evolve Ssj3 or at least enhance Ssj2 maybe in the next arc, also get their own special forms while they evolve Ssj3 or enhance Ssj2, and then potentially follow the God Ki route, apply God Ki to bith their own special forms and their evolved Ssj3 or enhanced Ssj2 forms, and develop their own unique variants of the God forms. And even though I hope Goten and Trunks join and work for the Galactic Patrol and also get Ssj2, hopefully get Ssj3 individually and master, enhance, and evolve it or enhance Ssj2, I also hope Goten and Trunks moving forward and especially when Goku is training Uub and possibly in the next arc begin to develop a lot more individually while still getting to work as a duo, begin to also follow their own individual paths, and also individually train under different mentors all while they still work as a duo and also hopefully work for the Galactic Patrol and train under Merus as them developing a lot more individually while still working as a duo is both great development for them and to me the next step in Goten’s and Trunks’s development moving forward. For Goten, I honestly hope he trains under Vegeta and continues to train and spar with Broly while Trunks I hope goes and trains under Gohan, Piccolo, and Gamma 1 and train with Pan as these would give Goten and Trunks amazing development, give us really dope, fun, unique, and interesting dynamics along with giving us a great, fun, interesting, and unique Goten and Vegeta dynamic we have never seen before, add on to Vegeta’s and Broly’s development while also giving Gohan something else to do, give more shine to Gamma 1, and the Vegeta now to me is honestly a perfect mentor for Goten, plus I would love to see Merus also applying and combining Goten’s and Trunks’s individual paths and training with his own training and mentorship to expand and improve their individual paths while also helping make Goten and Trunks way stronger, more skilled, and improve their battle IQ and fighting styles with his own training and mentorship. And then I would also love to see Goten and Trunks develop their own special individual forms under their respected mentors: For Trunks and he’s training under Gohan, Gamma 1, Piccolo, and training with Pan: I hope he develops ether a way different and way more powerful version of Ssj Rage or his own different and unique interpretation of the Beast form. For Goten, especially if he’s training under Vegeta and continuing to train with Broly: I really hope Goten develops a unique Spiritual Saiyan Hybrid form that uses and combines Spirit Control and Spiritual energy with fighting spirit, Goten’s own potiental, Goten’s own Saiyan Hybrid physiology, Saiyan instincts with human emotions, and fighting prowess all together, also takes some inspiration from Ultra Ego and Broly’s adaptability, and Broly’s unique use of the great ape power, spiritually connects Goten’s Saiyan side and instincts with his human side and emotions and makes them be perfectly in tune with each other, spiritually connects to the great ape and the power of the great ape along with the form also possessing other unique abilities or ability, and the form dramatically increases Goten’s fighting spirit, fighting prowess, spiritual energy, power, speed, strength, reflexes, durability, Saiyan Instincts and Saiyan instincts with human emotions, confidence, Spiritually and mentally gives Goten a unique type of fury, and makes him extremely aggressive along with the form continuing to increase Goten’s fighting spirit, fighting prowess, spiritual energy, power, speed, strength, reflexes, durability, Saiyan instincts, fury, confidence, aggression, Spiritual connection to his human and Saiyan side, Spiritual connection to the power of the great ape and also it’s spiritual connection with Goten’s human side and emotions, and his human side’s and emotions’s spiritual connection with his Saiyan side and instincts the more Goten fights, uses, and stays in this form. The future of Dragon Ball and the new generation is very bright and I’m all here it. I definitely look forward to the future and development moving forward for Goten, Trunks, Uub, Pan, Trunks, and Bulla and I definitely hope Toyotarou will eventually explore the other universes soon since that definitely needs to happen. However, if he does, I don’t think exploring the other universes should just be limited to Goku, Vegeta, and Uub as Goten and Trunks as well as Pan and Bulla later should also get to explore the other universes and get to tag along with Goku, Uub, and Vegeta with exploring the other universes as it would give us even more dope dynamics as well as great and amazing development for Goku, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, and Uub, plus I legit want to see Also I legit want Goten and Trunks to also train with, have dynamics with, fight alongside, go on adventures with, develop a close bond with, and become friends with Kale, Caulifla, Cabba, and other Universe 6 Saiyans as I feel that would be a dope dynamic, add on to Goten’s and Trunks’s development and the Universe 6 Saiyans’s development, and I feel Goten, Kale, Trunks, Caulifla, and Cabba would also make a really dope and fun group and team up for different arcs and storylines along with feeling the Universe 6 Saiyans would take a huge liking to Goten and Trunks. 1:44 - Since I'm one of the 8 GT fans on Earth, that reminds me of GT's ending where he enters his changed state, becoming one with Shenron and leaving the Earth in the hands of Uub and Vegeta (since Gohan was now even more of a great scholar) with Goku realizing that if he stays around there's bound to be enemies popping up. Wherever he goes a villain will be. So he left with Shenron and went somewhere (most likely Shenron's world) where "people definitely cannot go", not even someone like Whis or Beerus. But the only pictures or description of Shenron's world is unfortunately made by a fan wiki so we can't go by that. BUT, it probably isn't referring to that and could be about Goku abandoning his family/friends in EOZ to train Uub which would then lead into GT (don't worry I'll say it for you - "GT isn't canon though"), giving no further explanation other than to fly away with a kid he just met. Somehow, Super has to tie into EOZ which wouldn't make sense making Trunks and Goten the protectors of Earth along with Gohan. Goten was a ladies man who wanted to date instead of train and Trunks too was slacking off fighting. Gohan wasn't fighting since he finally become a great scholar so to me it wouldn't make sense either. Unless they retcon the entire EOZ (quite likely) and instead of making Gohan a great scholar, Goten a ladies man and Trunks a slacker - they actually make them Earth's best fighters and protectors. One thing I wanna see what they do with is Vegeta. At the end of the Buu saga where Vegeta gives his big speech about how Goku's the best, how Goku should beat Buu and how he doesn't want to surpass Goku - EOZ ignored that since at the end Vegeta says something like "And one day I'll beat you" or something like that. Maybe that meant a friendly sparring match and not the boring Android saga Vegeta where he MUST surpass Kakarot and he MUST be the best. IDK. I know GT kept with end of Buu saga Vegeta with the whole thing where he doesn't want to surpass Goku and actually treats his family well. He became a family man and Earth's protector solely. Not someone who only trains to surpass Goku and be the bestest and strongestest fighter in the 24 cosmologically universally universes. And for Beerus VS Goku. I honestly don't want Goku to surpass Beerus. To me it's way more interesting knowing he can't beat and surpass literally every single person - that gets boring and has been boring for a while. And think of it like this: Beerus has lived for millions of years and still hasn't mastered Ultra Instinct. Then Goku comes along, gets the form and masters it in less then a decade. How pathetic does that make Beerus sound? It also doesn't help that Beerus and Whis (mainly Beerus) don't feel important anymore. He's just there for comedic relief or some shit and is a constant moving goalpost for Beerus. I know Goku could never surpass an angel (I swear to god if he does D:

I think this was his way of saying goodbye, more than just a potential hint at the future. The world and even universe can be in good hands even without Goku around, so he said that, but Toriyama was aware of his state, and wanted to give his final words this way. That's what I think at least.

It would be cool but I mean they've basically not touched upon any of the other universes since the Tournament of Survival. I find it hard to believe Toyotaro or whoever leads the story forward will choose to explore the top 4 universes when all we have on the others is barely anything imo. It's such a straightforward concept tho and Im surprised they've barely touched any of the other universes again since the Tournament. It would allow them to do anything really since them being completely seprate universes doesn't tie them down to any established events. Like how the Galactic Patrol has no presence in Z (obviously Tori hadn't come up with it then but yeah from a world building standpoint is weird). I would love a series where Uub, Goten, and Trunks explore the other universes. Maybe they get sucked through a portal, maybe Goku gets lost and they have to find him. Maybe it's voluntary for the galactic patrol. Either way it would be nice to see more of them in dragon ball.( I just need future trunks please toei)

How does Daima figure into all this? Like, given that I expect that show to run for a 50-80 odd episodes at least. It will be interesting to see how that is balanced. I have a feeling, Super might be paused till Daima's conclusion.

ive heard next arc of dbs is the final arc toriyama had planned, idk how true that is but Im hoping we get to see black frieza on a mission to wipe out the gods and angels and eventually he does have to fight beerus and whis and he does have to fight zeno and grand priest, and yes im aware angels arent meant to fight but they might have to break that rule here. Cause the final battle of the series will probably be goku, gohan and vegeta maybe piccolo vs black frieza. Im hoping its goku, vegeta, beerus, grand priest, android 17 and jiren vs frieza.

During the Moro arc he did mention something about Demon gates, didn't he? We know Demon lords exist in a reverse realm fill the role of Kais in that realm but it would also be awesome to see if they also have their own versions of God of destructions. Something else i'd like see get explored would be earth in universe 6... its unfortunate that no one talks about that anymore

I like the implication that everyone is trying to control their rage powers,i mean Vegeta is trying to control his energy like Jiren with meditation,Broly is trying to control Ssj the enxt step obviously being controling his Legendary Form,Gohan also had a rage power boost but that loses precision and cant be held correctly and Goku white form is now said to be the strongest but since they wont get rid of True Ultra Instinct he will probably now use rage in white form as he has controlled his power to his degree

Goku being on and away at other universes could tie into the end of Z, how he was shown to be away from the main cast for the decade. I know thats kind of been retconned with super but it would be cool. I could also see Uub becoming the next god of destruction as neither goku nor vegeta want the position.

I wished super made Goku a martial artist teacher, he would fit the job and he’d love having his own school just to teach fighting and he could call it the turtle hermit school and his best student would be buu(human) and have is own story to surpass Goku. Though having explorations of different universes would help build up the development and increase stakes of the other universes in top

i bet goku will be an angel and vegeta a god of destruction, once it happens we gonna just follow up with gohan as the main characters.. tbh i really wish the dragon ball followed with goten and trunks instead since they are two like vegeta and goku but they have a more wholesome friendship and it could bring a new perspective into the dragon ball universe.

what is also painfully obvious is that Gohan Trunks Goten Piccolo and the androids will have to defend earth from Frieza. Imo i think maybe frieza will kill mai or bulma, causing Trunks to finally show his power and use a Ki Blade to slice frieza as foreshadowed and recalled from super

Frieza should have been reformed into an emperor of the universe type character but one who maintains order and stops the spread of chaos, like space pirates or power alien beings in other galaxies seeking to take over the universe or destroy everything. Maybe Frieza would work for Beerus making sure the universe is stable. Perhaps certain beings like Majins or Dragons or maybe even Demons from the Demon Realm try to conquer the universe so Frieza asks the Z Fighters for assistance in stopping the threat. They don’t need to keep Frieza as a villain anymore.

Honestly, Vegeta can go to U6 to visit Sadala. At this point DBS seriously can only go beyond universes and more timelines. I think if they met the GT timeline or even Xeno Goku, it'd be doing fanservice and shifting it to canon. But that probably won't happen. But I agree. The way the current Dragon Ball is going can only go surpass immortals, universes and timelines. It just doesn't have anywhere else to go. But one thing though, now that they've built up Gohan, Piccolo and even brought Broly back (and that thing's a freaking tank, like THE legendary Super Saiyan), and everyone's just insanely powerful, bringing Uub back just seems...... I don't know, irrelevant?
