ZENIMAX only cares for short term gain, ESOFAM is a facade, plus.. the only reason such a mediocre game is still afloat is the IP. The reward system (and the combat.. but I'll not get there) remains broken, when for most cool stuff you have to open your wallet, that is not a game, it's an aberration.

Agree, it should be regulated. That’s why they put in seals of endeavor btw. To make it look like you could earn crown store items in game, and it worked unfortunately.

Well , I'm not going to be popular but I don't buy them , I take pride in things that are earned more . All you got is your vote , your dollar so don't buy them . I don't 😅

I think the future is open source development where they let the gaming community help with development. It's the natural evolution from modding to open source development.

You were the reason I played ESO longer than I should by own insight :) but I enjoyed your content. And of course that is my fault alone. At least I was not wrong with sympathy for your point of view on games. After playing PC games for more than 35 years now, I'm staying courious what will come after the big disapointments (regarding great studios of the past becoming MBA controlled husks) of the last years.

I feel you. I have some friends that are going through this right now. I know I’m very much looking forward to trying the Dune:Awakening beta and some others, but it’s a bit over the horizon on a lot of games right now. With some luck we will find something we are all into soon. Either way, thanks for dropping by. Hopefully some of the new content will continue to peak your interest.

When Bethesda made morrowind , thst was beautiful imo . Starfeild didnt feel right . I hope the next Tes or FO installment doesnt suffer from Microsoft policies

I’m going to be honest with you man, I think the talent that made those games good left Bethesda a long time ago. That’s why things are the way they are. I don’t think it has anything to do with Microsoft.

I feel you man, this is what I do every day after all. The good news is those people didn’t disappear, they just went elsewhere because the company no longer aligned with their values. All the more reason to seek out the new companies in it for the love of the game.

@@Nightharrow I mean, sure, agendas etc. play a role, but let's be real.. most of the veterans from companies like Bioware, Bethesda etc. that made the magic happen are just gone, there is a severe lack of talent.

I wish more console games could get mods. It's certainly possible - Skyrim.

I think you and every other console gamer. I just with the developers would implement the mods as base game personally.

Good points. I think EA is going to find out.. or maybe did with the Reveal Trailer, just what DA fan's like and don't like. I know I watched the trailer a few times and my 1st thought was.. Please let this Trailer suck and the game play be good. I, like many wasn't ( or aren't ) totally relieved to see the game play trailer. ESO is my main game atm, with some single player RPG's that I do role plays on. In 10 yrs, I have bought 2 pks of Crates, both specifically for the gems. I sub about 25% of the time and take advantage of "Free-to-play" weeks to do surveys and stock up matz, not to mention go places and do zones, on my 2nd account which is base game only. My son plays a lot of Indie games and will pass along those that he thinks that I will like, but I also watch Streamers to see what they might also like. There are a few I have kept over the years. My love affair with TES games, started with Arena, I started playing console with Pong, PC with Hitchkers Guide to the Galaxy. I am always willing to try a new game, that fits my play style.

Always nice to find a fellow Arena player! I highly recommend Lunar Lander Beyond btw. Came out recently and is quite fun and a spiritual successor to the original Lunar Lander. Thanks for dropping a comment and I hope I peak your interest in some of these new games.

@@Nightharrow 😀 you do, I tell my son, he grabs new games quick. He then tells me if I would like the game, as he knows what I like and dislike. It's a system that works.
