Please please please remake this. This was a game that me and my dad would play and 100% everything. Every single riddle and puzzle completed back on PS1 and PS2. Hell it's so iconic to me that when someone follows my stream while I'm live the sound that plays is the jester's "batter up!" Love this game

Im 24 my brother and I have been playing GDL since we were little and still do to this day. Its always had a different feeling than any other game. @DesertRainReads WB has indicated their primary interest is now live service games. The last thing I'd want to see is a battle pass and mtx in a gauntlet game.

Oh, this is amazing. I love GDL. Other renditions of the game just aren't the same for me. GDL, for me, is simple to play, but challenging enough to never get boring. And by simple to play, I mean there isn't much you, as a player, have to do move along. Just shoot and solve a few puzzles here and there. You don't have to reload, you don't have to talk to NPCs. It's the ultimate adventure game. I know the low-poly might turn some people off, but I love it. I love the soundtrack. I love everything about GDL. So, I hope not much is changed. But if it is, I still have an old x-box that works when she wants to and a CD of the game when I need that trip down memory lane, I'm excited to explore and see what this group produces, nonetheless!

Where has this been all my life?! I have been long awaiting mod support for this underrated classic for what seems like an eternity! Yet to my surprise a full fan-remake is fully underway! At least it isn't progressing at a glacier's pace like TimeSplitters Rewind. But, anyway, Big Ups!!!

I just wanted to say when this game came out my mother and all of my brothers decided to play this game, it's stuck to me ever since and it's mind blowing knowing that there is a small niche community making a remake of it. An original developer says something to. I'll be subscribing for further progress and excited for this. This is looking good. I would say, I believe WB still holds the rights, but are kind of sitting on the Gauntlet license not doing anything, as of late. I wouldn't trust WB not to do anything if people just put that out. They tend to be somewhat protective of IP no matter how far it seems they are letting it die. Maybe the team, before doing any distribution of it, can approach WB (like what Indie Developer: Brace Yourself Games did with Nintendo) and see about putting it out, in the official capacity. If they were smart, they'd probably appreciate the lack of development costs, and use it as a good way of making money with the smallest amount of overhead, even if they pay a decent sum to the people behind making it as a temporary independent contractor.

Hopefully this becomes a game we can buy at retail for consoles as well. Dark Legacy was and is an incredible game. I loved it to pieces, that game's soundtrack is part of the reason why, especially the Lich's boss battle theme. Would love to see an optional battle in which you can eventually unlock a version of him with beefed up stats. Gotta keep that amazing boss battle theme in tact though. *lol*

PCSX2 and Dolphin have it. with Dolphin you can even play with people on separate computers! it's VERY easy. i HIGHLY recommend you give it a shot if you're dying to play!! youtube shadowed my other comments lol... so dumb. i hope this one works 🙃

do you not know that you can play on PC already if use use an emulator.. ? PCSX2 and Dolphin have it. with Dolphin you can even play with people on separate computers! it's VERY easy. Vimm's Lair is a great place for ROMS. i HIGHLY recommend you give it a shot if you're dying to play!! i know i'm glad i did!

Plot: An Evil Sorcerer named Markath has stolen the 8 Stones of Power and unleashed a demonic invasion. Various heroes have tried to stop the evil Lord, but they have been imprisoned by his demonic lieutenants. One 4 heroes must team up to save the heroes, regain the 8 Stones of Power from the 8 Realms of the Humans, Wood Elves, Dwarves, Ogres, Shadow Elves, Catfolk, Satyr and Merfolk and defeat Markath, who has named himself Lord of the Realms. I like your concept. Gonna add, said evil sorcerer should have a bigger goal in mind, like wanting to resurrect Skorne and use him to eventually take over Arcadia and the known world. I would say add four more worlds to this just to pad the length. This is a rock solid concept that you clearly put a lot of thought into and I encourage you to keep going with it. The four worlds could be. 1. Realm of the Undead 2. Ft. Karlsberg 3. The Sky City of Tarazed 4. Tower of Destiny Bosses: 1. Super Lich 2. General Siegfried 3. Lord Kandor 4. Skorne Resurrected Of course, the Tower of Destiny stage and battle would take place after you conquer Markath's Castle, I could see Markath sacrificing himself to resurrect Skorne. Also, it would be a challenging battle with at least three forms to fight, possibly a fourth.

I don’t see how you can say that dodging will fundamentally ruin a game that’s gameplay isn’t even fully defined yet. This isn’t a “word for word” remake of Dark Legacy. It’s a remaster and based in what has been shown can almost be categorized as a reimagining of the old game. The developers have shown intentions of modernization in almost all aspects of the game. So I disagree that we can at this point in its early development say that dodging as a feature will ruin the game.
