WISH! I would love to see Mario Wonder elements in the next game in some way. Imagine if Nintendo could incorporate the Wonder Flower's wacky effects in some way, either as an item or as a mechanic in a Mario Wonder themed Flower Kingdom track. With how unique and fun the Flower Kingdom is, racing through it in Mario Kart would be incredible and really fitting since Wonder's the most recent big mainline Mario game too.

Things I would like to see in the next mario kart: •A double dash mode •Gui customization like making the gui look like past mario karts gui •Past tracks have their original specific sound effects for example a wii track would have the wii fanfares and item box roulette sounds •Better rewards and progression instead of using coins for everything •A mission/story mode •Allow us to turn off the battle mode timer •Bring back inside drift from wii •and lastly make every kart/bike/character preform the same or make them barely different from each other, the items are enough to deal with online, dealing with the meta combos is way more annoying to see and deal with.

WISH! Ever since I was a kid, I’ve thought it would be cool if a character had some sort of advantage if they did a race on their own course. For example, Mario could get luckier item generation or mushrooms from bystanders on the course in Mario Circuit. Something unique to each course/character correspondent, kind of like your course-unique items idea.

Before watching this video, I’d love the next Mario Kart to go all in on fan service. Have courses based on 2D Mario games, 3D Mario games and maybe even the Mario RPGs. Have that be the main focus of the next Mario Kart

Give us a campaign with open areas for each cup which have the new courses integrated into them as part of the natural scenery, and you can find NPCs with DS style missions to complete and a simple storyline with bosses at the end of each area. All these missions and challenges would allow you to collect kart parts and skins, or coins that allow you to buy kart parts and skins. As a bonus, allow us to jump out of the kart and do little platforming challenges for more coins etc.

I will laugh if they just decide to keep re-releasing Mario Kart 8 with improvements over previous versions. Next Version adds 48 More Tracks, more Battle Course's and the Ability to Retry Grand Prix stages that you do bad on so you don't have to replay previous courses over and over just to get to the one that you are having trouble on.

WISH! I think they should create a mechanic for the karts or bikes, Maybe they can transform into different biome or land themes. for example if there was a track that takes place on a beach and the track is on the water instead under the water, it will transform to a boat or a something.

WISH! I remember when Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed came out and it BLEW MY MIND. Every stage seemed to have an evolved form of the gimmick that Grumble Volcano has where you'd be doing the same track and route for every lap, but the landscape would drastically change and the cars would adapt to best accommodate the literal changing landscape and I desperately want that for Mario Kart! Every stage would feel soo much more lively! That and I think it'd be fun to add the red coins to the tracks and collecting 8 of them would teleport you ahead a set distance depending on your place.

In an early interview they said that they experimented with a drill power up from galaxy 2. Where you could drill in the ground to the other side of the map or hidden underground tracks. But the tech wasn't advanced enough on wii u. Maybe next time they have the chance to implement that somehow.

Since the next game is probably going to be mario kart 10, i feel like it will include multiple modes from previous games. Double dash double driver, the frenzy/triple items from tour, solo modes/missions from ds, regular races and a mode that mixes them all together. Also this will explain some of the tracks that were remade for tour that were not brought back for this game, they could be the retro tracks on the next game (the nice ones). Also the return of the tour exclusive items, were they will prpbably add some sort of ability to choose wether character specific items are available in the game. And finally creating maybe some new tracks based on the games from the switch and also from the next console since mk8 doesnt have any cause its technically from the wii u.

I was thinking the next Mario Kart could add the Item Frenzy from Tour, but more balanced so that you wouldn’t see an item frenzy happening frequently during a race. Every racer would start with just two item slots. During the race, occasionally you’ll see a rainbow item box spawn among others. A racer that breaks it will gain a third item slot and perhaps a 5-10% chance to roll for a frenzy. Roll three of the same item and BINGO! You got a frenzy! If the items don’t match, you still get three items. In both cases, the third item slot vanishes when the frenzy ends or when the third item is used.

Ngl, I kind of want them to experiment with portals or jumping to different segments of the track. I really like the exclusive item idea though. Like imagine in the Luigi's mansion track the Poltergust item could pull players in front of you back, or maybe tether to them with the suction shot for a short amount of time, Maybe they can use the Elephant fruit as a replacement for the Toonoki leaf from 7 but if you go underwater, your store some in your trunk and can use it to slip players in front of you.

WISH! If there’d be an open world mechanic with a story mode, I’d like to see a complete change of the formula and have them go full forza on us. That would add so much to the single player experience. With the paragliders, zero gravity, and underwater mechanics, exploring an open world in a kart could easily be done.

This may be controversial but what I really like about Mario Kart is their creativity when it comes to tracks. Yes it would be cool to see some themed tracks based on specific games, but I think nothing BUT will feel kind of stale and limit the devs imagination. The factor of discovering something for the first time will be kind of missing too. I really love when they expand known places and give us more of a glimpse into the universe. Like Peach Gardens or Daisy Cruiser etc. So while it would be cool to see a handful of directly inspired tracks, I hope the majority of them will be fully original Mario kart tracks that may have Easter Eggs from games but are otherwise completely their own thing.

You know what gimmick I would like to see? Courses that evolve throughout the race. Sort of like how the city tracks and Piranha Plant Cove have alternate routes each lap, but not quite. Let me explain: Basically, the first lap plays out like normal, but after that, there will be a slight route change for whatever reason. Maybe it's because a pillar is blocking the road now, or maybe because a bridge got destroyed. It doesn't have to be a major route change, just a detour, although some tracks could have completely separate routes each lap. Basically, think of Sonic and All Star's Racing Transformed, but without transforming vehicles (although that might be cool as well). To give examples of how retro tracks could work, let's say on Daisy Hills, the first lap plays out like normal, but on the second lap, the bridge at the start gets destroyed, so players have to take a detour into the water and come up from a hole on the other side somewhere. Maybe Vanilla Lake, but the ice melts overtime, causing the final lap to be completely underwater. Those are just some basic ideas.

WISH - for characters to have different item use mechanics, not just their own special items. I.E. Mario and Luigi have longer speed boosts from mushrooms, or Bowser's green shells bounce an extra two times before breaking. Would add a layer of strategy for character selection. - Character skins and unlockables!!!! Make Metal Mario a skin. Make Peachette a skin. And make them unlockable. Make me have to play as those characters in order to unlock their cosmetics. Please. And BONUS, make every character have a golden skin that is the final unlock you're awarded for mastering them. - tournament mode, both online and offline. Let me build a bracket and play to a finale World Cup style.

WISH: They would expand on Splatoon theming. I also wish they would give you a mode where a friend of yours could play as a second person on your cart who could only throw items and influence a bit of steering that would add a lot to playing with your younger siblings. I think a good idea for a single player campaign would be to maybe do different kinds of battles or time trials that are somewhat difficult then you have to race like bowser or a boss which is hard and needs good item use etc. Last, I hope they bring back the mini games with some of the battle stages

WISH! I have a couple thoughts on the next game I think retros are a must, and since models can be ported digitally now, there's no excuse not to bring back what everyone loves, that said I don't think they should be in the standard GP cup models of old. I actually enjoy the Tour model as a way of unlocking cosmetics and retros. It would allow them to appease the retro track crowd over time and give an alternative single player experience to the story/mission mode, which imo should be one thing in this game. The mission and story mode of DKR is a great idea, with some influence from Forza and MKDS being potential additives. I also think they should take heavy inspiration from Wonder, in more ways than one. For one, I really like the idea of "badges," something that can be acquired and put on by the driver that isn't an item or a kart stat, but gives them some kind of boost for a course, something like +25% offroad stat, immunity to specifically fire flowers, automatic blue miniturbo, etc. It would be a great strategic application, and could go a long way in adding another strategic dimension to kart combos, item placement, and such. Using this, it would incentivize people to do every single player option. Grand prix's are vital to complete to unlock new nitro courses and characters, new costumes and retros are unlocked in the tour mode, and new kart selections and badges are unlocked with coins, maybe in a shop as opposed to randomized selection. Perhaps with the shop you could even upgrade kart selections to improve stats I think the main track gimmick should be another thing used in wonder, and also in the booster course tracks, though they were done haphazardly. I think the track should SERIOUSLY change in route and path design between laps, and in a way that is reflected in the track itself, not just in slapped on arrows. I think utilization of increased vertical design, with more than just small gliding sections, could be a great way of making these tracks truly evolve in layout as the race progresses, making everything very oriented on understanding the course as a whole. I'm imagining like a wonder flower effect where your kart just straight up becomes a plane when on a glider section, or a boat instead of going underwater. I know they talked about a drill feature being an early idea for alternate routes, and I think really emphasizing alternate perspectives and just getting weird with it is something they should lean into. Some other things I think could be included are old game modes (double dash mode, frenzy mode), and maybe a new combat-based model like what we saw in the Mario Movie, where you're racing with entirely personalized items and trying to hit your opponents while reaching a checkpoint or something along those lines, like one team is trying to make it to the finish line in a certain amount of time and the other team is trying to make that just impossible. Lastly, a custom track feature is definitely the most far-fetched idea, but would provide ultimate longevity to the game, and allow for the fans to satiate themselves for the next decade and then some. Just look at the MKWii fans, they're STILL making custom tracks. Also, Nabbit would be nice

WISH! In the next Mario Kart, they should have a track based on Super Mario Bros Wonder (like in your thumbnail). Imagine driving through the flower kingdom and there are some flowers on the track that give dialogue like in the game and give you tips about where to go and what to do. Maybe in that track there can be a special Wonder Flower power up that changes the entire track in a wonder event that’s different every time you play. For travel-based ideas I think they could do a Jet ski segment to the tracks. It could work like the Anti-gravity segments where if you are racing towards water without a special track segment at the water's surface you go under the water. But if there is a special patch of track piece beforehand the car would switch to a Jet Ski/Hover boat to travel along the water.

If they do more Nintendo characters, I want to race as Pikachu. Really hoping they make online a little better in regards to choices. I swear the same courses get picked over and over and over again. I would also love to have the ability to pick how I want to play online. I hate playing 200cc. Still hoping we see the return of Double Dash's special items and double drivers. My biggest wants for Retro courses are a Vanilla Lake, N64 Wario Stadium (only because it hasn't appeared yet), GBA Rainbow Road, Wario Colosseum, Mushroom City, Toad's Factory, Shy Guy Bazaar, and Wario Shipyard.

My idea for a new gimmick would be the wonder flower. At the end of lap 2, a wonder flower appears and you collect it automatically. This would drastically change up the stage in some way. Some examples I can think of are DK Mountain erupting and more boulders start falling at a faster pace. Maw-Rays infest dolphin shoals and serve as new obstacles to avoid. A thunderstorm appears and starts striking sky gardens with huge lightning bolts. Rush hour begins on moon view highway and more cars appear and drive crazier. A heatwave happens in sky high sundae and the ice cream begins to melt, shrinking the size of the track. Chainchomos become enraged in Peach gardens and start charging at players. Do I think this will happen, no I don’t. But I would love to see this in the next MK.

I saw a thumbnail from some video that mentioned Wonder Flowers as a good feature for Mario Kart, and I kind of agree with that. The idea of a player being able to either find an item in an item box or make the flower spawn somehow and then have someone press it and make the track go completely crazy and different seems like an amazing idea for a Mario Kart game. (To me at least) That said, I wouldn't pass on more tracks theming themselves to specific games or building out more Mario lore, but other than what was mentioned, I would like to see Mario and Luigi as well as Wario Ware characters added to the roster. (I definitely want to see Mona, it's like being a driver is her whole thing... I think the Dog and the Cat as well... can't remember their names at the moment)

WISH! I would love it if Nintendo added Glider Steering. Sure you can move your kart around while gliding, but you can't really turn with it. It just tilts you and sends you off to the side, but imagine of you could steer around. Being free to turn around, going anywhere while in the air. People could say it's not Mario Kart-y enough, but then again, if gliding in general, and bikes made it into Mario Kart, why can't this? Plus, think of the variety! I'd love to see a Rainbow Road that collapses when the third lap starts, leaving you to glide around the entire track for the Final Lap while you dodge the floating enemies and staying inside the guidelines. We could even bring back Elimination-based Battle Modes, Like Tour's Balloon Battle, where if you get out, you can just glide to an Item box and then throw that item down onto the map!

WISH! For a new type of kart, this is inspired of the ink ball special from spatoon 2,The ball kart! So the driver will be inside the ball kart, it’s not a fast kart but you can bump into other racers and it will push them and if you get hit by a item it won’t slow you down as much so overal it’s very bouncy like. And one more thing since there’s 12 racers in each race maybe like 3 racers in each kart like double dash but with 3, but you can now detach apart of your kart with a racer on it and the detach racer will be able to race by themselves and the detach racer can reattach on your team kart. This will be very much like a plan and a race. And that’s about it 2 crazy ideas hope you enjoy it.

The big thing I want for the next Mario Kart is more characters from the Mario franchise. With the new remake of Mario RPG I could definitely see characters from there. Also looking at some of the Mario sports games there's so many playable characters that are usually enemies such as Goomba, Chain Chomp, and Spike just to name a few. Seeing how they added Inklings, Link, and Villager though, I'm scared they'll be leaning into more of a "Nintendo Kart" roster with the next game.

Having unique items on certain tracks is a pretty cool idea. I would say however that maybe there are only a few of these which are shared by a couple tracks each, otherwise it could make it difficult for a beginner to get what's going on. Maybe a unique item for each cup?

Mario Kart 8 is basically the ultimate classic Mario Kart game with all the retro tracks. I can see the next game going in new directions so it doesn’t replace 8, but exists along side it with fans going back and forth depending on what they feel like playing.

That’s honestly how I feel about Double Dash. It’s item and partner mechanic haven’t been explored since it’s release, so in reality, it’s an untouched experience where it kinda compliments the series as a whole. Not to mention the driving in it of itself was flipping crazy. Yes it was chaotic, but it kinda added to the fun and newness when it came out

the next mario kart needs 48 tracks minimum imo. launch with at least 12 cups like 8 Deluxe did. it’s probably not reasonable to expect 96 like 8 Deluxe with the booster pass, but if it launched with 8 cups like older games, i would say it’s unacceptable. i also think battle mode needs improving. 8 maps is shockingly low. i think 16 minimum is better. i think the 5 modes from 8D are great, but balloon battle should give you the choice to choose between the old last survivor mode and the rack up points mode. also seeing double dash’s bob-omb blast coming back like how it was in that game would be cool. i also think a reversed mode that you select on the CC selection (like mirror mode) where you can race on all the tracks backwards would be awesome. it would feel so much more different than mirror mode. also, a mission mode / story mode NEEDS to be in this game. especially with unique bosses.

I really like games like mario kart where you have the ability to say, “oh i pick luigi because i really like him”. You can still do that in double dash but red koopa having 3 red shells is so strong and would suck online. I really like luigi tho, hes so cool

That fact that you mentioned that retro tracks shouldn't come back doesn't make any sense since returning retro tracks is a staple in the series and taking that away would lead to severe backlash cuz there are some courses that haven't even returned yet like N64 Wario Stadium, the Wuhu tracks from 7, Piranha Plant Pipeline, GCN Wario Coliseum, Wii Toad's Factory, and even GBA, GCN, and DS Rainbow Roads. There are so many fan favorite tracks that need to to revamped/remastered/rereleased in Mario Kart X. I believe that if they change the formula, it would be after all the previous tracks have been remade.

Something I've been thinking about is for the next game to be a constant wonder zone, it depends on the track but once you enter that place it affects the area in some way, some wonder zones may move around the track and some may be activated by certain stuffs, hopefully it happens

Wish!: I think the next Mario Kart should have the same treatment as this game. Yes, it would have new, original courses for its Mushroom, Flower, Star, and Special Cups. But then it would have some course remakes for the Shell, Banana, Leaf, and Lightning Cups that it comes with. Now with most of the courses being remade in this game, the new game would only remake the ones that weren’t. That would require 2 pages, like MK8DX, but in a 3x4 layout, to differentiate from the 2x6 in this game. That game would have its fair share of new courses outside of the 1st 4 cups. The bg would also still change color when you turn the page of cups. I know you said for this to not be too long, but I just have so many ideas. You mentioned having more guest characters, and I too would like that for the new game. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it releases on the next console.

Mario Kart 8 feels like the ultimate culmination of the last 30 years of Mario Kart. 8 and tour really have brought so much together and celebrated and included nearly most of the tracks and characters from the franchise. I feel 8 was always meant to be a sequel to Mario Kart 7 by bringing gliding and underwater driving and then anti gravity being the new mechanic the built off of 7. I really do feel that The next Mario Kart is going to be a turning point for the franchise 🎉

Here is what I would love for Mario Kart. Title: maybe SUPER Mario Kart Double Dash or something like that. Customization: customization for each combination of characters and vehicles should be different from others, having their own unique parts to choose from. No two combination sets being alike. Each two characters get a variety of parts and paint jobs to choose from. Coins: Still function in the racing like in 7 and 8, but also, all the coins you collect in the race will also be used as currency to buy more parts and paint jobs. Courses: Like in 7 and 8, but also maybe add in eventually almost if not all the courses from all past games. And maybe some courses if not all of them go through changes during races Special Items: Special items should return. Like the bros' fireball bursts and Bowser's giant shell and maybe new special items for each character like Mario having a cape feather to fly over everyone and gain a good boost in speed. But it would only last shortly or til you slam the ground blowing away all around you. X3 Stats: Stats should also be able to be tweeked some after you select your vehicle parts. Like say if you want to reduce your weight for the sake of more handling or your traction for better acceleration. But only a limited amount to keep the game balanced. We don't want the speedy cool vehicles like b dasher and P wing to suffer like they did in 8 Deluxe Trophies: For More difficult classes you finish and win, the trophies should get bigger, shinier and more detailed. And If you get a perfect score in a cup, instead of a gold trophy, you oughta get a SHINY SPARKLY FANCY DETAILS PLATINUM TROPHY. Most importantly, it needs to have all karts bikes mtvs and combos worthy of being awesome in competitive online. Speed vehicles being REALLY speedy to make up for low acceleration. And MAYBE a decent mini turbo in case they get slammed alot. Also keep 200cc and all cup tour

WISH! - a Wave race inspired track - bandai namco giving pac man and the arcade stages - namco allowing reiko nagase (the Ridge racer mascot girl) to be a playable character -sega giving us sonic as a guest char, one track from sonic r - maybe an outrun Mode where people can choose different parts of the track to come to a Target in a very long race - the Daytona car as a Bonus -retro tracks from diddy Kong racing instead of from a mario Kart game - some stuff from Stunt race FX (that super FX Chip racing game) - maybe a track Designer - a battle Mode with multiple vehicles with different functions. Like a Biker, an airplane, a slow but strong moving tank etc. - star foxes landmaster as a vehicle. - perhaps a TRUE retro track where everything is pixels. - some stuff from mario rpg -captain falcon playable - a battle Mode where you have a first round where you cannot attack other Players but can Grab stuff to build barricades, set traps etc. -bomberman playable and a bomberman battle stage - a slide from mario 64 as a stage - a Final fantasy char and a chocobo as a playable char - banjo kazooie playable

WISH! Maybe they could add a Pokemon related track. There's a ton of Pokemon Towns and regions that could be turned into a track, but just cause of the fame, maybe they could turn Lavendar Town into a race track.

WISH I would love a galaxy themed track with all the enemies and power ups from the game. like the cloud where you could fly above the track and slowly float down, idk. Or even a wonder themed track, where you could use the drill to go under the track and pop back up ahead of the others without getting hit.
