Steve you are a legend. You and that author who wrote "Stability and Chaos", are single handedly responsible for building all my intuitions on Dynamic Systems.. You taught me better than my own lecturers from a youtube channel. You are a legend and have a great day!

Very interesting and exciting, but the background music is really annoying for a video that long and with that much talking

I hope you will look at this comment, I'm a STEM high school student, 15 years old, my dream is to become a great engineer to see you do math so fluently and with so much self-confidence it impresses me. I don't do math frequently but I don't understand how to do it either. I hope you understand, you're great💯💪
@Eigensteve
@Eigensteve Ай бұрын
That is awesome that you are pursuing your dream! You have a ton of time and potential to make it a reality! Math doesn't always come easily to me either, and I find it helps to be curious and patient, and think of it more like a fun puzzle. Also, you can think of it like a set of muscles you are developing; just like you wouldn't expect to get strong without working out and training, you need to do the same with your math muscles. Good luck!!

Hi! I'm loving your Physics&AI series, coming from a physics background. I recently transitioned to AI and I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I've been hearing Model Predictive Control quite a bit, is there any modern resource, with the AI innovations you mention, you'd recommend to start studying about the subject?

Thanks a lot for this intro!! It seems like a promising tool to speed up the learning process. Just one curiosity. Can an academic researcher / junior lecturer use it for free? I visited the web page, but only "student" license is for free. Thanks!

Sign up for student accounts seems to have a bug. The U at the end of .edu gets truncated so the confirmation email never comes. Perhaps a character limit on that field?

The 'what' and 'why' is not very clear I agree.. I'm the type to guess this is a ML environment that understands physics of what it simulates. But not sure about much in terms of specifics.

It amazes me how society dishes out trillions of dollars to universities over many decades in which professors are enabled to educate themselves(say rather than go working in a mine or a fast food shop) and then those professors jump on the capitalists bandwagon and give a big FU to society.
@frenchmarty7446
@frenchmarty7446 Ай бұрын
Taking "trillions of dollars to educate yourself" (?) isn't an FU to society but starting a company is? 🤔
@MDNQ-ud1ty
@MDNQ-ud1ty Ай бұрын
@@frenchmarty7446 They got paid through taxes(through the working class) to educate students and themselves then use that knowledge to start a company which they extract more wealth while putting up barriers to the poors which only increases the wealth gap and destroys society even more. But let me guess, you think billionaires actually are the ones that make humanity great?
@wardharold8037

I suppose all the stellar content that Dr. Brunton makes available for free on his KZbin channel is also a big FU to society?
@MDNQ-ud1ty
@MDNQ-ud1ty Ай бұрын
@@wardharold8037 He gets paid by ad revenue. He also gets funded by society through his professorship. Your logic is that if society invests in a person and spends millions on a person(likely that is what has entered his pocket through society) which benefits that person tremendously both intellectually, economically, mentally, and health wise then that person has every right to take all that benefit society gave to him and then make society pay even more. What would benefit Bruton and others more? Making the service free of charge or to charge for it? What would benefit society more? Of course I'm sure you a re a genius that understand dynamic systems completely and believe that capitalism is the savior of humanity but you have no clue how they are connected. But keep pretending that wealth concentration benefits humanity rather than destroys it.
@Nick_Tag
@Nick_Tag Ай бұрын
@@MDNQ-ud1ty of course academics owe a huge debt to society for supporting them. And yes some of them do get headhunted by Amazon / Goldman Sachs. I don't know what the answer is. I think 'voting' via the CSR pension funds and placing higher values onto companies which actually have good Corporate Social Responsibility is a reasonable remedy ... if more people actually paid more attention into where they choose to invest they're money that is.
