Super video - as always by the crack team at CHS. You have to admit, they do great work! By the way, for those people/operators that have used our superb 50 degree field of view (FOV) Boomslang NV optics and like their performance, then stand by for our 40 degree FOV “Nightwinder” NV optics which will have all of the benefits of the 40 degree FOV Carson optics, but with lighter weight and better performance. They should be ready by November here at Photonis Defense, and we expect (hint hint) that CHS will want a supply of these. This will give all of CHS’s customers an even greater ability to customize their NODs with a variety of upgrades that will improve performance across the board.

Love the tech being put into these binos. Honestly though, bridge NVG / Thermal is the future for consumers. (Fusion is probably future for military/professional users.) Focusing on creating a Tanto-based ecosystem is the way, so people can tailor their own set up to their use. Thermal mono in a Tanto housing, able to be bridged into a Daisho with a NVG Tanto. Call it the Wakizashi. Please, please bring this to the market soon. I know you are already looking into this. Love Nocturn but the speed at which you release products is snails pace. The Manticore R felt like it took 30 years, please don't take another 30 years to release a thermal Tanto. Eventually a Tanto with NV and thermal fusion like the Jerry-F fusion would be the end goal. Call it the Naginata. My dream is Daisho bridge with a Tanto, and a fusion NVG/Thermal on the other eye. But for now I'd be happy with a Daisho which I can decide between 2 Tanto's when I'm running around urban, or if I'm in the bush I can swap it out and run 1 Tanto and 1 Wakizashi.

Nocturn, AB night vision and Argus are the future. I couldn't care less about housings made by L3. They keep resting on their past innovations. We also have LLI for the budget non-chinese stuff.

@@ngaoutdoors4157 Yes it is. The trashy J-31 is also budget. So is the LLI AETERNUS. The only difference, the AETERNUS is actually good and holds up to milspec standards.

Pls do the tanto and daisho bridge injection molded ;) I was looking to buy them here, but after this I wanna wait for that mold

I'm still hoping for a manual gain/screen brightness Mono housing. And just wishlisting here: hot shoe bridge for a NOD and a thermal. Maybe have them set up for modular battery packs? (I know that can't be the right wording, but y'all know what I mean, right?) I know that the thermal manufacturing is out side of Nocturn's wheelhouse, but maybe InfiRay is willing to work with somebody on it.

Love my Daisho: if I ever do want manual gain I’m going back to nocturn and getting a manticore
@pug245110 күн бұрын
Have you had any issues with auto gain? And wanted or needed manual gain? I’m trying to hop that fence, either go tanto route and have the option to go duals in the future at the price of manual gain or get a pvs 14
@DonJohn-h8lАй бұрын
I hope they come out with a metal version of the Daisho with an adjustable pan feature.
@JackTagarАй бұрын
I don't mind them doing fixed angles the way they're been doing just to reduce complexity, but ditto on metal housing
@DonJohn-h8lАй бұрын
@@JackTagar I like the ability to tune the angle to my own preference, plus with the fixed angled bridge, if I pull one Tanto off to hand to a buddy, now I'm stuck with a single pod at an angle.
@willthrill94Ай бұрын
You could consider purchasing a j arm and then pulling the other pod (the one you’ll use) off the bridge as well to use standalone. That’s what I intend to do when pulling mine apart for buddies
@DonJohn-h8lАй бұрын
@@willthrill94 Why not just get a pano bridge at that point?

@dijax7863Ай бұрын
outstanding guys. I told Aaron Loveless at Loveless Performance to do an off body gain, power control mod a year ago then again like 4 months ago and he blew me off... This is the innovation and forward thinking industry needs. The power source, and controls should not be on the body in the front. That's outdated thinking. The industry needs to leave that in the past. The PVS-14 needs a mod kit to update all existing as do all other mono bodies.
