Night vision is a necessity, so is having an IR illuminator. Especially when you live in the middle of nowhere. Out here there's no lights, no ambient lighting, and on an overcast moonless night it is pitch black. In those conditions NODS don't do much without an IR illuminator. Good work fellas, keep it up.

What cans were you guys using? They looked a bit flashy like they were titanium. I will say it's not fair to judge a can based on one video that isn't even about the can, especially on short barreled (presumably 5.56) guns. I'm just curious.
@Chrisblau2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking and actually knowing the camera and setup makes a world of difference. This is a CGS Hyperion K on a 11.5 556. You see some shots has spark some doesn’t. The reason is a multitude of things but it is no different then the FLASH other cans have. Trade offs man shave weight but have some sparks, keep the wait but still have flash cause suppressors never completely stop flash especially on first round pop. From the threats position down range you can’t tell one from the other and the sparking and flashing is a none issue 20m and further. 👊🏼

It's like a super power that FEW can buy...because it's super expensive. I mean, sure, if people can afford MP5s and custom 1911s, then night-vision is a no brainer. But for 98% of us, it would be spending more than we can afford on something we won't likely use.
@johnc53302 жыл бұрын
Chances are you won't use your carry pistol to defend yourself during your life time either. I agree it is super expensive but there's plenty of people out there who buy 10 PSA ARs at 500 a piece. And then say 5k for NV is to much.
@joeflowers90842 жыл бұрын
@@johnc5330 True. That's why I don't carry a $2K carry pistol, but my CCW is the pistol I spend the most money on (though these days I've evolved from having a CCW and an HD/zombie pistol to just accepting the CCW can also do HD/Zombie duty). I can't afford more than one good carbine, but it's true there are people who throw away $5K on stuff they don't need or use that could be used to buy NV they don't need or use. ** I DO know people who are using NV and thermal for coyote and boar, but they also drive $80K trucks, whereas I drive a $5K car.
