I'm just...done with mice. That's why I'm glad the huge Dog Aging Project, involving 45,000 dogs of all ages and kinds, is ongoing. AND I'm very glad to hear about actual human trials.

Great talk! Thanks for sharing. It's crazy to hear the numbers being thrown on partial rejuvenation. When is Aubrey his mouse study set to release data on the combined intervention approach.

As far as I’m aware he is providing regular updates as they occur on his twitter feed

@CalumnMcAulay he's supposed to be but he's been tied up I think with some big longevity conferences. I think he said we really won't hear of any real updates until the end of the year or the start of next year

I know Aubrey and he's very positive about the multi therapies his biggest problem is combining these therapies into one treatment, this field of genetics was started with the Nazi's with growth hormones and steroids now we have stem cell research into repairing older problems, this topic needs to be state sponsored

DNA 12 main strands are they looking into if some children have 3-5 active now ?

Im going to point out an exception to what Dr. de Grey said. He said education and prosperity has enabled (some) women to avoid having children. I have never wanted to have children. By 8 years old i was sure I would make sure i was never pregnant. Im 70 now and was never pregnant and i was never prosperous in my own right and am not (formally) highly educated. I was simply aware of this early on and took control.

I guess he means that education has given women different ways of looking at the world and prosperity means you don't have to marry a man who wants to have kids, so you're not stuck. But good for you for making up your mind independently of all that.

I used to want to live forever, mostly because the period at which I would have wanted to have children were complete chaos and I was too insane to make those kinds of decisions, so I missed the boat so to speak, and thought it would be nice to get another chance at a better time. But today, after seeing what the world has transformed into, Im more at peace with leaving it behind. But to each their own. If this is ever accomplished and people choose to utilize it, I wish them the best

What has the world transformed into that you are now fine with leaving it behind?
@jjtrades718610 ай бұрын
@@schrittmacher1787 being called a "literal nazi" for wanting lower taxes, rampant violent crime with little to no punishment, no respect for boundaries whether national or personal, transformation of society from love based into pervert based, never ending exploitation of the already exploited. I could go on ad-infinitum in all honesty but for the sake of both of our sanity I wont. One of the worst outcomes of this is, the people who are already evil will be around much longer to perfect their craft. The hells that I have imagined are so much worse than death its unreal. The heavens I have imagined are tempting, but unrealistic

Partial reprogramming will make you live healthily for decades more. Then the process improves and you get decades more. Eventually, only a full understanding of the genome and its expression along with the proper nanites to operate on every cell in the body (most likely those nanobots will be biological since machines don't get molecule sized) will enable indefinite youth spans. The body will also be reinforced with proper shielding for the brain to prevent terrible accidents of cutting life short. We'll never be immortal but I think it's super feasible that most of the people alive today and under 40 years old will get to have indefinite lifespans. Many 60 year olds could possibly also catch that. I think that it will take another 15 years for flawed and partial epigenetic resets to provide "longevity escape velocity".

Ecological overshoot is the most pressing problem ever faced by humanity. This clown wants to add to that problem. It's crazy. Our natural span is more than enough for the planet.
