Paultons Park has recently been expanding with some amazing additions over the years. It first started in 2011 with the opening of Peppa Pig World, the world’s first Peppa Pig theme park. This new investment increased the number of visitors to the park from 500,000 per year to 1 million after it opened. However, it didn’t stopped there, not at all. In May 2016, the park opened the Lost Kingdom - a dinosaur-themed area suitable for younger and older children. Costing £9 million to build, this area featured a total of 8 rides and attractions, which include two coasters: Flight of Pterosaur and Dino Chase. After that in 2021, we saw the introduction of Tornado Springs, a western-themed area and the opening of Storm Chaser, a Mack Rides spinning coaster. They really established themselves as the best theme parks in the UK, especially towards the families. I’d imagine the future of the park evolving towards something like Toverland and Plopsaland de Panne.

Now, I’ll be sharing my thoughts and predictions for the next few years of investments for Paultons Park. I’ll be discussing specific ride and attraction types that I think are realistic future additions at the park as well as sharing why I think these additions could happen. *Even before the announcement of their Tornado Springs area, Cobra and The Edge were used to be the most thrilling rides in the park. However, these rides are actually not really themed. When you look at the other rides within the park, everything has a general theme. I would love to see the area get a jungle/rainforest theme as that it would fit the snake idea for Cobra. Then, I’d add an Intamin River Rapids attraction similar to Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando, I think that could help pull the whole area nicely together. *Over at the Lost Kingdom, the Little Explorers play park area and Dino Chase would get removed for a relocation of Magna along with a new queue line. *Focus on general park enhancements and just cleaning up the park, in general. These would include adding a new garden area, fresh paint throughout the park, general ride maintenance, new theming experiences, replacing some of the older restrooms with new, modern ones, improving the food quality and essential maintenance. *Located next to the Lost Kingdom is Sky Swinger. I think that this needs to be themed to some kind-of flying dinosaur. Just give it a quick repaint and the ride could be themed to a flying-style dinosaur. *An extension to Little Africa could be created to bring in an African/Savanna theme; I would add a new Great Coasters International (GCI) wooden coaster similar to White Lightning at Fun Spot Orlando. *The park’s log flume attraction, Raging River, isn’t meant to be a permanent log flume. It feels like the ones that you see at carnivals and fairs, also it feels a little boring. A permanent log flume with a custom layout, a better theme and nice elements would be nicer instead. *As for the attraction that could replace the current location of Magma and The Bounced building, we’d see a new family attraction with a theme, something like a Zamperla Air Race attraction. *Replace the Go-Karts with an Intamin Quad Bike coaster. This would be a perfect fit for this area, it could almost be like people are exploring the jungle area. *The Cat-O-Pillar Coaster is starting to become a rough experience for riders, it’s getting old and uncomfortable and it doesn’t feel like an enjoyable ride. I think that the park would replace Cat-O-Pillar with a new Zierer Force. It would be a welcomed addition because it could be a smoother experience with a new unique layout. However, I think the theming would have to be kept the same.

My Hopes: Ride Removals: The travelling log flume The cobra The go cart track Refurbishments: Refurbish the Edge with a new theme to fit in with a themed area Retheme magma as part of the lost kingdom New attractions and replacements: The land behind cobra and the edge should be used. I would like to see an intamin family rapids ride and a family launch coaster. Also replace the go cart track with a dark ride that’s interactive.

I would love a couple of dark rides, a wooden coaster and maybe a rapid rides or a proper log flume.

Paultons don't own the land behind the edge I don't think. I believe its privately owned currently so might not see any development there for a while.
