Kalpitiya is famous for its islands. But dont think its easy to visit these days because of rough seas.

Maybe I'll head back there one day in the future and give it another chance, but very little happening when I was there

Government doesn’t put money into developing north and east of Sri Lanka and also these areas are where a lot of the war happened. Thank you for visiting
@TheWanderLife Жыл бұрын
Yea I have to say I saw this firsthand really when I went to places like Mullaitivu. I don't of course know how funds are dispersed and how development is managed by the government but I certainly witnessed that a lot of the areas in the north seem to receive less investment based on appearance etc

You said Sri Lankan beaches are ugly and Thailand has best beaches. I think you have not seen beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Thailand also not all beaches are beautiful only few spots like Phuket island have those. Kalpitiya is a fishing village more than a touristic place. Thailand is a country that attract tourist by selling their women and children for prostitution by sex tourism which is pathetic. Most of western tourists attract there for flesh rather than beauty, it is a well known secret. We don't need it in Sri Lanka. By Visiting a fishing village In Monsoon season with rough ocean how come you comment that Sri Lankan beaches are ugly.

I’ve been literally all over Sri Lanka and spent 4 months in the country in total. I’ve probably seen more of the country than many Sri Lankans. Don’t confuse my statement for something derogatory - the statement isn’t that the beaches are ugly, simply that they aren’t necessarily to the standard of other countries which are famous in particular for their beaches. Sorry, but I’ve also travelled Thailand extensively and what you’re saying about the only nice beaches are in a few spots is wildly off the mark. I love both countries, this isn’t a remark to demean the country - you can see very clearly from the entirety of my other videos that isn’t the case.

I myself been to Thailand for many times but it’s more westernised and most of beauty is artificial just to cater to tourists.. no wonder you have attracted to Thailand as a tourist as they well organised to the extent that sell their women and children to western tourists… everything is made for tourists.. even beaches they reconstruct the way to attract tourists nothing natural.. I never enjoyed artificial western vibe in Thailand at all but I can totally understand why you fall for fake beauty of it.. Beauty is in your eyes and something not nice for you is very beautiful for someone else. I know many tourists who like Sri Lanka more than Thailand so don’t make statements that mislead others please..
@TheWanderLife Жыл бұрын
@ansibasi786 Sorry, but what you’re saying is utter codswollops. Most of the beauty is artificial….have you ever actually gone off the beaten path in Thailand? Have you ever visited more remote islands? Again, don’t confuse me here - this is not a competition between the two countries, I love them both in equally different ways. Your love for your country is evident and respectable, but if someone visited my country (the UK) and said yea, the beaches here aren’t necessarily as nice as beaches in some other countries, I’m absolutely not going to take offence to it. Does thailand have great tourist infrastructure? Yes. Does Thailand have places that seemingly cater towards people to party and indulge? Yes. Do SOME people go there for the wrong reasons? Yes. But tell me what of that has to do with my opinion that the best thing about Sri Lanka is the raw, untouched beauty…don’t come necessarily expecting the same kind of beaches as Thailand? Would you be having this same hissy fit if I said the Philippines instead or somewhere else in the world? I love Sri Lanka, and I’ll 100% be back for a third visit - I don’t love it more or less than Thailand or anywhere else, I just know it’s a country that I love visiting. To label an entire country as somewhere that sells its women and children to tourists just shows a level of ignorance to the world as far as I’m concerned

@@ansibasi786your comments about Thailand are so far off the mark. You are totally clueless.
