Heres the problem. Valve promising an update-sized update brings ideas of weapons and even new voicelines. They changed it when they realised they were making their fans too excited for what will all in all be a disappointing update. more likely, judging by popular opinion - scorch shot loses the knockback - vaccinator uber either does almost nothing or charges way slower - sandman gives a flat speed reduction instead of setting movement speed to a target number - caber does _just_ enough damage to one-shot light classes on direct hit - sniper can't headshot until half charge

The biggest bug I think that needs fixed is the bug where you can’t vote for the next map at the end of a casual round

In the mean time you can do 'next_map_vote [0-2]' in console to bypass the bug. As a bonus since it's fairly unknown it almost guarantees that your vote will win.

When everyone did the #SaveTF2 all we got was a Twitter reply saying, "We hear you" Don't matter much when the game is still overrun with bots a year later. Their business model is what screws over older games of theirs, no one wants to work on a 15 year old game except the video game players who want to try. Until they do something moderately big enough to make a change, I ain't giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Before even listening to this video I gotta say, i was in few fandoms since 2015, and non of them were as consistent and alive as TF2 one. TF2 comunity lives because it really is a comunity. Thank you. Crazy how the promise of MORE content still gets people disappointed. Even if it's a tiny comeback from Valve, we should encourage it and accept it. Even if doing so doesn't encourage them to take further steps and care for the game again, it's better to look on the bright side and look forward to the good stuff. Rather than being all mopey and acting like it's the end of the world because new TF2 update doesn't have 63 new weapons even though Valve said "update-size update." Hey. I’m real new to TF2, and I don’t have a computer that can properly run it. I am entirely within the fandom, and unable to play at all. And yet, when that update blog came out, I had the positive equivalent of a panic attack. And, maybe it’s my fresh introduction to it, or maybe it’s the hopeful hype still following me, but I still can not wait for the summer. I will very likely never play the summer update, and I may never actually get the chance to play at all, but I am beyond proud of this community, this game, and this legacy. It's of note that 90% of warpaints ingame are from the same 14 creators. (Including ones that just trace stuff they find on google *cough). They choose the same creators and do pattern based ones because it's easier for them. The same semi-consistent 14 people dishing out skins that use the same texture maps as previous update's warpaints. Valve doesn't have to do work like with the more custom warpaints where they have to manually apply textures by hand.

Honestly, I think new weapons would be a bad idea when we could use this update to fix weapons that are either too good or too bad to use. Such as the Wrangler and Daimond Back for the good, and the Pomson and Sun on a Stick for bad ones. Better balance would be so much better than new weapons

One thing they will never do but I would love is if they could update the hammer editor to make it more modern. Currently we have Hammer ++ which I think is the closest thing to a new version but I've not used it myself. I've used unreal engine and Hammer and whilst I don't expect them to fully remake the editor I feel taking a few basic features of the unreal editor could really help mappers. Stuff like letting you load the map without having to load the game or look at skyboxes without having to go to a website.

I'm glad you're bringing up vscript and the new maps. I think a lot of people don't realize how powerful vscript is. I joined a TF2 community server, and they were playing gun game on dust 2 with all the guns from CSGO, recoil patterns and everything. The sky is the limit for this update's maps and gamemodes.
