Stockholm has an underground vacuum tube system to transport waste bags and they transform their foodwaste into fuel for city busses.
Germany has the largest and most efficient deposit system for cans and plastic bottles in the world.
Amsterdam switched from waste bags to underground waste containers, they already have 12.000 of them.
France has a new ambitious law to prevent waste at the source. For example, the country wants to ban all single-use packaging by 2040. Paris will present the law and how they are implementing it in their city.
Brussels opened a new Recypark with a focus on reuse.
1️⃣ Where: Tour & Taxis, building Brussels Environment, Avenue du Port 86C/3000, 1000 Brussels
2️⃣ When: Wednesday 20 November 2024, doors open at 13h00, the conference starts at 13h30, there will be a reception from 17h00 till 18h00.
3️⃣ Language: The conference will be in English, French and Dutch. Translators and earphones will be present so that everybody can follow the conference in their language of preference. English will be translated to french and vise versa, and french will be translated to dutch and vise versa.
