I agree with Bobby and Justin. If World Long Drive was played as entertainment instead of competition the rating would skyrocket. What they should do is all of the players need to unite and say the WWE analogy and that exact speech to who runs World Long Drive and if they don't listen, the players should create their own league of entertainment with long drive. The audience is the money maker.

I'd say that having large fields is very important, but that a certain core group of competitors who have EARNED their ranking via competition, should get byes late into an event. I disagree with anyone who thinks it should be based on personality or perceived marketability. I also think that in this "pay to play" "professional" sport, that competitors should not be awarded points for participation. An inexperienced or poor quality competitor should not be ranked higher than a better competitor who wasn't able to budget for the thousands of dollars that a competitor must dish out to take part in each event. I'm against taking a "hey, look at me" approach versus letting performance do the talking. 2021 and 2022 World's were so much better than the Golf Channel Events. Bobby Bradley should be penalized by the Bombers for not acquiring the WLD. I'm not sure what the correct punishment should be, but he should be punished. Oh and tv time... when Kyle or JJ is on the box with 3 unknowns, show Kyle or JJ (etc). If an unknown does something special, show a replay in between sets. Bobby Peterson and Ryan Resibeck did an amazing job with PLDA. Bryson's team working in conjunction with PLDA did an amazing job at World's in 2022 with the production. BB is an awesome commentator. The grids need CAMERAS so viewers and competitors can see the results. I think a 500 yard drive should be allowed the same percentage of deviation from center as a 300 yard drive. That would mean something like 52 yards wide at 300 and 70 yards wide at 500. IF head to head match-ups are continued (very boring), they should always be set up according to season rankings, so JJ isn't knocked out by Kyle in the first match. Competitors should be docked points for not doing a set. If a guy is injured, this will help weed him out. If a guy has dominated, viewers want to keep seeing him. They're not tuning in to see him sit out a set. Sponsorship money is out there. Big corporations can easily reduce tax burden by adding to their advertising or charity budget. A team of phone reps setting up meetings for closers with company executives is necessary to accomplish that. With much more revenue, this "pay to play" "professiona" sport, will be able to afford salaries and travel expenses for at least the top competitors. I have many other thoughts, but I'll end with... merchandise sales. WTF? Lots of people would love to PAY WLD $$ to provide free brand building... by wearing the logo. And whoever made the decision regarding the trucker style hats, needs to be shown what a golf hat should look like. BP picked one up for me at World's, and I guarantee I'll never wear it. Oh one final thing... Enforce a stricter dress code. Competitors should look like professionals... not try to make a fashion statement or "hey look at me." One more ramble... the Golf Channel has horrible viewership and those people typically don't like long drive. ESPN, Fox Sports, and others are probably much more likely to reach a better target viewership market. Okay... I'm in the waiting room for PT on my neck and back, so I will end it here. I expect that not everyone agrees with perspective and opinions. That's okay. At least a public discussion has started recently. ❤

Disappointing dialogue to listen to Bobby ray try to undermine competition. Horrible. Why does no one watch LIV golf? People do actually care about competition. I’ll root against any athlete that wants to get paid for “personality” over competing. GTFO. Embarrassing to make that argument up there with two of the GOATs of the sport that earned it with blood sweat and tears.
