The Gabriel House of Care

The Gabriel House of Care in Jacksonville, Fla., offers affordable, long-term housing and a supportive environment for visiting transplant and radiation oncology patients. Jorge Bacardi, a double lung transplant recipient, and his wife, Leslie, made the lead gift for the construction to honor Chris Gregory, his organ donor. Before Bacardi knew his organ donor by name, he referred to him as "Gabriel," his saving angel.
