Dougie Maclean was the first gig I ever went to. I was about 7 at the time & still remember it well in my 30’s. Dougie is awesome and so are you, Matt. I’m so delighted I found this one. I’m only 6 weeks into my ukulele journey, but I’m giving it a go. 😅 I bought your Firefly album last night and it is incredible. I particularly love the Celtic inspired music. I’m so excited to have found someone who makes such great tutorials, plays so beautifully and is also into Celtic music. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for more. Sending you bosies* fae Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 😃 *bosies is the Doric (the dialect spoken in the north east of Scotland) word for ‘hugs’

Well, just a few minutes in and measures 9 and 10 are way easier than they sound, so this is truly going to be fun to learn. Who cares about a rainy weekend?

But 11 and 12 are tough for me. Dropping down to a concert helps a lot with the pull from 5->2. I don’t think it’s hard, but I had a major wrist injury and reconstruction in Nov, so TBH any playing is more than I had been expecting. Everyone should practice this! Thanks, Matt

Turns out I wasn’t following the fingering, so 11 & 12 are not bad either. Starting to come together!!!
