I have said that as well after watching cop videos. They are already on edge to begin with and have trained to draw their weapon when they feel threatened. (I don't blame them) I've seen a cop shoot someone at point blank range for a traffic stop because the driver proclaimed he was armed, probably as to not surprise the cop. He reached for his wallet and the cop thought he was going for his weapon. The guy had no criminal record and was driving with a family. Another guy also got shot to death when he was told to get on his knees and walk towards them with his hands up. He was crying and saying, "please don't shoot me, I don't want to die" all the while. His other hand reached down to pull his shorts up and even before he could got shot. There's also that "Acorn" incident, where a cop shot at a man already detained with his hands cuffed behind his back at the back of his patrol car. When going around to get to the driver side, an acorn fell on his patrol car and though he was getting shot at with the man that was described. He emptied his clip shooting the back of his own patrol car...That's just the stories I know at the top of my head. TL;DR Cops are dangerous, be extra careful and don't make sudden movements during an interaction.

@chancecompton4061Ай бұрын
He wasn't briefed. He was on a stop and saw a gun. It's fucking awful, but it's not even his fault. In that situation, 99.99% of the time, you are guaranteed not dealing with an undercover, and your reaction time is all that keeps you from getting your family a flag for Christmas. There was a communication failure, and it caused a fuckin tragedy. Makes you wonder what you might actually do in the exact same scenario cause I promise you, your hindsight isn't going to do you any good in the moment when shit is actively hitting the fan and you don't have the luxury of time and peace. Being on the streets, dealing with people, who may or may not decide to use their braincells today, and have a 50/50 split chance of hating police or not, tends to be a little more difficult than having a morning tea and book club session with grandpa. You're not discussing Chaucer with cousin Elliot, you're explaining that driving into oncoming traffic with a beer in your hand is illegal to Suzy "BJ" Lacey for the 9th time in thirty minutes because she's twacked out of her gourd on meth, and can't think any further than she can see down the street. It's chaos, and people are either wasting your time, being stupid, or evil freaks like Dahmer. And it's all, all too common. That guy shot his friend and colleague. He's going to live with that mistake torturing him for the rest of his existence. You're doing nobody any good, so why the fuck say it at all? Object the situation all you want, I'll agree the whole time. The lack of communication is abhorrent and should never have happened. Neither officer should have been placed in that situation. But mocking the guy while you can listen to him actively suffering and begging his friend not to die is where I call bullshit, my friend.

Even a criminal with a gun, once captured or stopped by one or more armed cops is, most of the time not looking for an "attempted murder of a police officer" charge!! This is why armed security guards heading home or to work, INNOCENT LICENSED CITIZENS and the like get killed during what should be a routine traffic stop!! Not for attempted murder, but rather for simply exercising their 2nd amendment right which is LEGAL. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO BE CARRYING A FIREARM, DON"T FUCKING SHOOT!! I can guarantee you that every Cop, even a lot of those untrained ones in the USA definitely don't feel good after shooting anyone, even if it's a Suspect that has a Gun it stays with you. Comments like this are one of the other Problems in the USA regarding the Police, very absurd Opinions about Police Officers thanks to the Media or a few "Bad Apples", which every Country has in their Police Force every now and then, even our European Countries where you need to train for 3-4 Years to even be allowed to have a Weapon and patrol. So as much as i criticise the USA Police Force and how easily they accept People in their Job without proper long-term Training and quarterly Psychological Check-Ups, it seems the Public definitely isn't much better with naive Opinions like this. It takes at least one degree, hopefully more than one degree and more training to become a RCMP officer in Canada. It takes 2 years of training to become a police officer in Switzerland. Other countries are doing it better. Stop giving ex military police positions simply because they can shoot a weapon, without all the other skills that are imperative for working with the public.

1. No issue in asking. 2. She said "you tased me" so they were attempting to see who tased her or how it could have happened. 3. Accidents happen. Service weapons and weapons handed out by government bodies are often times not well taken care of and not in proper condition. A movement or jarring motion too sharp can set some of those poor-condition firearms off. This is no fault of the officers, simply the department and the system.
