I once watched a 4'10 mom take to the ground 3 men who had surrounded her little girl so fast you could barely see her move. Several of us had started to run to help as well - only to end up with 2 different jobs instead : me (only girl) to yell "I'm pulling her over here to safety" for the little girl (making sure to keep said little girl in her momma's line of view in panic, hoping I wasn't gonna get clobbered because she was just seeing 'threat' and for the guys.. honestly, mainly there to make sure she didn't actually kill anyone. They did let her get in several kicks when they were on the ground, but didn't let her kill anyone. There is no big big enough to face a little protecting a smaller little! Can't see that instinct calming in space.

The thing to remember about humans. Our bodies have built in limiters to keep us from injuring ourselves too severely. But push the right buttons and we will drop a dose of naturally occurring combat grade stimulates into our blood that will temporarily override those limiters. Once those limiters are gone? Well, there is little enough that can stand in our way, and less that can stop us. Beware the Mother protecting her child, the quiet human forced to violence, and the human protecting a friend.
