Deimnos The band FM did not write or perform No Guts No Glory. It was written by Phil Galdston and John Van Tongeren, and performed by Van Tongeren using the stage name Johnny Vancouver. FM performed only "Rangers Are Forever" and the song "Out Beyond The Stars" which was included in one episode. Both of these songs were written and composed by brothers Steve (FM vocalist) and Chris Overland (FM guitarist).

I searched for a full lengh version or at least some information about that and it seems that this was the only version of the song. However there is a full version of No guts No Glory by Steve Orland that you can find on youtube and probably Itunes:)

@TheCastellan Neil McDonough as Zach. He could totally handle the material - check out Star Trek: First Contact and Tin Man. Doc would be harder to cast, but Aldis Hodge would be a decent contender, judging from his character on Leverage. Shane and Niko? They'd be a pain to cast, no good contenders come to mind, especially as Shane is roughly 17 at the start of the series.

I posted the supposedly official lyrics, but I'm not convinced that the last line, which IS _a capella,_ doesn't say "rangers ARE forever" which would explain why we've all misheard it for 40 years.
