I will be visiting The Gambia this May for my 40th Birthday and I did reserve a Hotel room from Tamala Beach which came to £930 for 2 weeks but when I went on the air b&b app and saw some nice apartments for only £360 for 2 weeks, I canceled that booking at the hotel which was hard to do because I really wanted to stay there however my pockets comes 1st so next time when I visit I will book at that hotel for 3 nights just to experience it however the air b&b is a big move I am looking forward to visiting Gambia and enjoying the sun beaches and the culture there!

You made the right choice. Tamala is overrated in my opinion. Externally the design and the grounds are pleasing to the eye. The breakfast choices are great and the onsite restaurant is good. But the rooms are disappointing in terms of general maintenance. Wi-fi was very bad when we were there and The electric cut out regularly for short intervals throughout the day.

I had planned to stay at Tamala but after watching this video, No Way !! I won't stay at an apartment building either because, I Do Not Want to Cook !! I need a great Resort, near Banjul !

I absolutely get where you are coming from😊 . They do have other wonderful resorts 🇬🇲. As for the apartments some have restaurants & others you can do the eat out 🤣I know that option sounds hectic. I really hope though u visit 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙡 during your stay cause they also welcome visitors in to their property 😊🏝️

Hahaha this is the most interesting comment I’ve read 🤣. When it comes to no roaches 🪳 when I stayed at 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝘼𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 just that it’s self catering apartment but they have a restaurants downstairs called Heritage. For Hotels recommendations I will say: 𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙤 𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙞 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙡 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘼 𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙀𝘿 𝘽𝘼𝙆𝘼𝘿𝘼𝙅𝙄 𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙀𝙇 (it'𝙨 𝙤𝙣 the highway around Senegambia end) 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘼𝙞𝙧bnb: Kololi Sands * on the beach & fairly opened Aquaview Apartments Mica Apartments Forest View Ocean View Apartments 𝙄 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙮 🇬🇲.

Why assume there will be roaches?? That's an odd one. I've stayed at Tamala and regular apartments and haven't come across roaches.
