The Game Map of Britain with Jonathan M. McGee - Pheasant and Partridge Shooting at The Hadley Shoot

The series we have always wanted to produce with content you've all been asking for. Stay tuned as Jonathan visits a host of estates up and down the county, shooting various quarry and trying out the latest products. All footage by Jonathan's amazing team.
In this fifth episode filmed in 2017, Jonathan and his team take a trip to The Hadley Shoot near Ombersley in Worcestershire. At this point in 2017 The Hadley Estate was starting to grow, it now takes up Forthampton Estate as well as their family land shown in this film. We can't wait to return this coming season to see how their estates have developed.

Jonathan can be seen shooting a Longthorne Hesketh Deluxe in 16 gauge with Hull Cartridge High Pheasant 26g 6's. A great combination and perfect for this style of shooting and height.

I know it's rainy and dreary a lot in the UK with this said you need a sunglasses sponsor sometimes mate so you don't have to shield your eyes on those sunny days !!!!

Interesting, I thought that Hungarian partridge were only native to eastern Europe and the Middle East. I had no idea that they were native to Britain. Isn't the 'French partridge' on the left a chukar? Regardless, I agree that partridge in general and Huns in particular are the most fun birds to shoot. They are crafty little buggers too when walked up around here.

Harold clark Not in South Australia. Just home from a wonderful autumn morning duck hunt with my son, my 15 month Labrador dog has me bursting with pride for his steadiness, great handling onto an unmarked crippled Black duck in heavy Cumbungi and general excellent behaviour at the boat ramp and pub. How many ducks? Two Black, two Grey Teal. Nothing lost only one wounded but retrieved, hundreds seen. Cheerio, Bob.

In comparison to Australia I think we get a lot of issues. We have huge groups of our country who know very little about game shooting and the conservation work thats undertaken by estates, all they see is people shooting and are opposed to it. Luckily in the UK we have some fantastic organisations really pushing back and showcasing exactly what does happen on the ground, trapping of vermin, wader population growth, game covers for wild birds etc.
