They know what the truth is. They would only lie for no reason cuz apparently the robot is supposed to say whether or not it's true or not. So either you're a liar and your family finds out you lied, or you're honest and your family reacts basically the same. It sucks but it's painfully obvious the show is scripted.

@sydneyhuff6976 Жыл бұрын
So one of the funny things about lie detectors is that the longer you do them the more likely you are to get false negatives. It’s just because they are highly inaccurate and unreliable. So they could be telling the truth but the lie detector marks them as false (ex the alien one where he truly believed he was abducted, so because of how lie detectors work he SHOULD have been marked true) so essentially it has nothing to do with them and everything to do with the faultiness of the test
@gavinjenkins899 Жыл бұрын
You can lie if you think there's worse questions coming up and want to bail out before one of the normal checkpoints.
@sodaandstars4389 Жыл бұрын
@@gavinjenkins899 On top of that, polygraphs aren't even accurate, they can be beat pretty easily (or falsely flagged). It would be possible to lie on the polygraph, have it come out as true, then lie on the show.
@rosestar1324 Жыл бұрын
You could lie through the whole show and still win. Unless they have evidence to prove you're lying, anything you tell them will be "true". Polygraphs measure physiological responses, not honest. People think people only get nervous when people lie, but that's false. If you did something embarrassing that you wanna keep hidden, if a situation where you have to tell the truth and admit to doing it, might be stressful. On a Polygraph, it will say you lied even tho you told the truth. And then some people cam lie so well, they don't have those physiological responses of stress. A great example is in Avatar the Last Airbender. Togh was able to tell if people were lying based on their heartbeat. Then when it was discovered that Jet and the freedom fighters gave contradicting accounts of a event but both appeared truthful. And then Azula was able to show she can lie easily without being nervous and Togh couldn't tell she was lying. That's literally the same with a Polygraph.
@toptiertech72915 ай бұрын
@@rosestar1324you guys clearly do not know how polygraph tests work 😂😂 and saying “just beat it” is even dumber. You have to be a certain type of person to beat one of those. The average person cannot beat a lie detector test. It measures so much. Not just blood pressure. Not just heart rate. Not just body movements. Not just perspiration. Not just breathing but all of it. A normal person is not controlling all of those while being asked questions

Holy shit I remember this show it was so unbelievably uncomfortable like I don't think they had an episode that didn't involve cheating or breaking someone's family apart. Fucking brutal
@krash22mini724 ай бұрын
If you know you're a cheater why go on that show? Also if someone is cheating or thinking about other people the "family" is gone already the show just expedited the process

Love how the first two questions are just her admitting the straight up crimes then question 3 is just like "have you (like literally everyone on earth) ever had a bad thought about someone"

5:04 yes- a Normal person would downplay it as “everyone has harmless thoughts.” HER? She emphasized wanting to take out “ aggravation and you make these Terrible, terrible wishes with ALL your Heart” holding up both hands, fingers crossed- WTF lady?! 😳What a psycho.

I know everyone has their boundaries but as someone who isn’t in a very possessive relationship, it’s so silly to hear people getting worked up over being flirty with someone outside the relationship (as long as it didn’t lead to anything) or getting excited over the idea of another attractive person lolll. We’re all human. If we see an attractive person we at least make mental note of that fact! Doesn’t have to harm anyone.

I still find hard to believe they made a home version game of this show, even though I found it in a dollar store one day and decided to buy it, just for a few laughs. It came with some lie detector gizmo that supposed to make a pleasant sound if you were telling the truth ,and a loud buzzing if you were not. That in itself was a lie, it made an awful sound no matter what you said. My mother and I played it, and one of the questions I got on the game cards was "Have you ever made a KZbin video?" We played it once and then I gave the game away. 1/10, would not recommend.

I understand why the second question might not seem as bad, but that is stealing, and Capitol One isn't losing that money, the business she bought a product/received a service from is. I manage a small, family owned retail store, and it's bad enough when people shoplift, but when they steal through a scam, it's especially frustrating. Example, I sold a woman a pair of shoes to wear to her sons graduation that evening. Two days later, she tried to return them, claiming she'd changed her mind, but they were obviously worn - scratched up and with clumps of dirt stuck to the heels - so we refused the return. She then called up her credit card company and claimed it was a fraudulent purchase, and despite the fact I had a signed receipt, and had checked her Id when I rang her up, so I knew it matched, the credit card company refused to pay us for them, so we were out both the shoes, and the money, which can ruin a day for a small business!

I used to work in credit card fraud, and idk who you you dealt with, but that’s not how fraud claims work.
