A fun fact about this game is that all the dolls are based/named after guns. For example the current rate up character Macchiato is based on the WA2000 and the weapon she ideally uses is also a WA2000.

Man, i'll never get tired of seeing that intro/opening with the call back to GFL1 events... god, i loved the 'train' arc. It's an interesting choice to have OTs-14 (Groza) as a main character, since she was just one of the hundred 'side characters' you'd get. That said, i honestly cared more about those 'side characters' than the actual main characters. I can't help but find it funny seeing reactions to the 'shocking' part of the ambush. It works great on new players (bonus points if they play Nikke) but not so much on returnig/GFL1 players.

As someone who is currently playing Nikke, I thought I was safe. Naaahhh that scene with Groza really got me. I'm glad in the end she was fine but I wasn't expecting something like that during the first few minutes of the game. The game is really interesting and I'm loving the gameplay and scenes!

Oh yeah I am absolutely enjoying the game. It's a lot of fun! The game, the characters and the lore (from what I understand lol) is soooo goood! Can't wait to continue the main story!

If you're curious and willing to learn the lore of the previous game there are a few channels that recap the story from the last game due to recent relevancy, they make it easier and digestible to learn the story so that new players don't have to go through 300 hrs of story to read

Girls' Frontline 2 is pretty good with being stand-alone when it comes to lore at least so far. They do flash a bit of callbacks from the first game every now and then but they don't delve too deep nor stay too long on the topic and move on instead. Girls' Frontline and its developers are some of the pioneers when it comes to the gacha game market in China, and the devs, or at least its core members have a very humble background of starting off as a doujin circle publishing short comics to creating a short visual novels to actually making story-driven RPGs. GFL may have never been relevant for some time until the release of GF2 but the series is well-loved in South Korea and even influenced several other Korean game companies such as ShiftUp and NIKKE (CEO Kim Hyung-Tae invited GFL's producer and creator: Yuzhong over to ShiftUp's studio one time for a tour), as well as Blue Archive. Yuzhong or YZ occasionally goes to Korea to give presentations about game story-telling and does reveals of certain upcoming characters while he's there. The community it has is very passionate. From its lore to the gameplay, it may be niche and many of them may have moved on from playing GF1 but they looked on and tuned in to at least the lore of it. Edit: I'm sorry for the long yap, just wanted to spread some love for this game!

I haven't played the first game, but this sequel definitely has me hooked! I'm a huge fan of xcom strategy type games, so this gacha game has already risen to my #2 spot. Hope you play more, the combat is satisfying as hell and making different team comps feels worth the effort. Since you've got Qiongjiu as your first SSR, if you want a solid team comp, I'd recommend a team of her, Ksenia, and Shakry. These three make up a solid Fire Team, and are really fun to play. (Frost team ftw tho, i'm in too deep) 😂

Saaammee! I have been enjoying the gameplay soooo much! The story I am a bit lost but I think that's to be expected during the first few hours of the game lol. And Ksenia and Shakry? Okay! I will def keep those in mind! Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it!

As a vet of GFL I know that this game throws a lot of terminology at you so it’s natural to feel overwhelmed. The narrative is well written with a bunch of lore. GFL 1 is the only gatcha game I know of that finished its story before end of service. I feel a little sad that they went with a hoyo style gatcha especially since the first game was so generous

The game does overwhelm me but the lore, characters and the gameplay is just so good to let go. With time I'm sure I'll understand those terms. Right now I'm just having a lot of fun! 😊 Ahhh yes.... good ol Hoyo gacha style

By the way if u continue playing next stream u gonna do I suggest u react to a video if u want naturally it’s called the girls frontline experience it’s 5 minutes and 36 second and will make u understand how the atmosphere of this universe is its a 2 year old video but it does show a lot of art from the first game.

hey, first time viewer here, so I'm not trying to be rude but I'm a bit curious as to why you seem to struggle with recognizing or pronouncing several words in the dialogue so far. Is it that you don't know the words themselves or just that you have trouble enunciating 'uncommon' words while speaking in general? really fun stream and I love seeing your reactions to the game's content, just something I noticed that I'm really curious about ^^

Hi there! And no no you're not being rude at all! I have always struggle pronouncing certain words. It's one of my weaknesses and it's something I'm trying to improve. I'll eventually get to pronounce these words properly lol 😆 And I'm glad you're enjoying the content!!!
