Baseball Simulator 1000 was a staple game of little ol Preppy. Loved it and the space field

The combo gameplay in Blaster Master is just perfect - like it was made by a gamer. Totally ahead of its time.

Man you're not kidding I remember it feeling like a different game every time you made it into a new area and the perspective would change. I may have even faked being sick a few days so I could stay home from school and play 🤘

I have started getting retro consoles of my childhood and plan on collecting games for all of them. But the very first thing I did when I got an NES and SNES was get a multicart for both of them. I have over 200 NES games on one cart, and I can get the physical games I want as I go.

Multicarts are great! I've got a few emulation boxes that I've reviewed on the channel that I use almost as demo stations - I'll check out a game and if I like it (and it's not a ridiculous price) I'll pick up a physical copy. I've got nothing but love for emulation machines, multicarts, and everdrives. :)

Batman and Mega Man 3 for sure. I would also add Zelda 1, Friday the 13th cuz I've grown to love it, and the 1st Castlevania. I hope I never get into the situation of needing to liquidate all my game collection. I've got a quarter of the NES set and it took about 5 years to get this far.

Little Nemo is such a hidden gem for the NES. Now, Batman...that game is a masterpiece on the NES. The gameplay and soundtrack is simply godtier. Startropics is one I first played through on the Wii Virtual Console, and man, what a game! I WISH Nintendo would bring this series back. All these picks overall though truly are outstanding games, and great personal take on why they mean something to you. Loved this topic man!

Im restarting now, sold my NES and SNES CIB with about 50 CIB games in one shot when we moved across the country. now that we have our forever home and daughter is in college, time to rebuild. I started with CIB TMNT SMB SMB 2 SMB 3 Final Fantasy. I think next is Mega Man 2 and Mike Tyson Punchout

DuckTales is so good. I really want to get a copy of Little Nemo. I would probably put Metroid or Bucky O'Hare on my list of games to start a NES collection. Might also include a Kirby or the Ninja Turtles II game. Love being able to play an arcade game at home.

I've only played through Blaster Master and SMB 3 on the list. I think punchout might be a sub goal. I played Ducktales on the GB and it's great. It is supposed to be close to the NES version so I can agree with that pick if it is accurate.

Ten games is so hard to pick. Yours are all great. In fact, of the 30 or so that I do own, I think I have all of your picks. Must-own games. My ten would actually be very similar, but with Dr Mario swapped in somewhere. Cool video, dude. 👍

Fortunately I have never had to sell my nes collection but if I did plenty of these games would top the replacement list!! The nes is a amazing console with a great library..but my first would probably be super dodge ball and jackle!!!

Hmm I'd probably go with: Jackal Contra Final Fantasy Super Mario/Duck Hunt Captain Skyhawk Rolling Thunder on the tengen cart Robocop - it was my first game I ever remember playing Little Nemo Ninja Gaiden - I first met my wife when she invited me back to her dorm to play this. And last there's this baseball game with robot players you could upgrade...I can't for the life of me remember it. If not this then Super Dodgeball/World Cup

I wish I liked sports games more outside of hockey. I got my kids into little Nemo, they love the arcade version the most! Batman is great, I never finished Star Tropics lol. I’ve never had the patience to get into mega man, I’ve tried though 😬 Ahhh Ducktales, amazing!!! Lame Dad was just streaming the remastered one the other night, great vid Jay!!! ❤️🎮

TMNT The Arcade Game 5. Super Marios Bros 3 ( I like 2 more but 3 is better for this list) 6. Castlevania 7. R.C. Pro Am 8. Mike Tyson's Punchout 9. Galaga ( classic high score arcade port) 10. For me that list is very good but for a top 10 i would replace baseball, blaster master and final fantasy (i just dont get the appeal for turn based strategy games on a console). So the 3 i would replace with those are Kung Fu, Popeye & Dr Mario or Tetris but if you have a crt tv duck hunt with super mario on the same cartridge. But i would consider Hogans Alley. Well choosing 10 games is difficult to do for the NES. The more i think about it the more i want to change it. Oh i want little nemo out and replace it with chip n dale.

I've never been much for organized religion, so a blasphemer I do be. 😜 I enjoy Contra, but I'm a single player household since my wife and son don't really get into most NES games - and that's a much better experience multiplayer. So sadly not in my top 10 to grab to rebuild my collection.
