I have tried most of the known comp cubes and settled for the stuff that fits me. Couldn't care less about what suits other cubers, I only care about what I feel comfortable turning with.

As for what most people say, this cube reminds me of the GAN 12, but doesn't feel like the GAN 12 when turning. What I mean by that is the removal of edge-core repelling magnets and long magnet stocks are similar in position of the GAN 12 and you feel it. But when turning, it definitely feels different. The spherical piece design of the 15, makes this cube a little more tactile and stratchy in my opinion, and it catches. Similar to the first batches of the 12.

This Gan 15 is supposed to be cheap. Still, with that kind of money, I can buy a Tornado V4 Flagship with lots of adjustment, and also a V10 with that 20 magnet core. Those two would be more fun and more suitable for an average cuber like me.

I like the Gan 15, but I like the Tornado V4 Pioneer more. I’ve been using Gan since the Gan 357 from idk 2015 I think?

Can we just check and make sure that you don't have the weird squared off center pieces that apparently makes the cube really unforgiving in there? But for an "old folk" like me with RSI, the light weight of the cube is really the main selling point of the cube. Both the turning being light, and the cube itself. Some cubes like the original ys3m felt good... But the weight... Dang. My hands ached after just one solve. Sounds ridiculous I know, I thought so too and gave it a try, over and over again. But nope, didn't work for me when my hands were strained... So yeah.

Not just you, I'm 18, and the ys3 makes my hands ache after one solve too. I prefer lighter moyus like the rsv5 and gan cubes like the 11 and 12

I feel like the only reason I keep going back to the 15 is the weight. Everything else feels heavy now after longer sessions. While I prefer the feel of the v3 (still not used to the v4) it just feels so heavy

I really like the cube . I use the following settings : center travel at 4 , compression at 3 clicks and the default white magnets. It does have some problems but i Dont agree with what you said

@Zony2112 thanks but the irony is i actually have a gan 12 but I do seem to find it does lock up sometimes but I'll try to work on my turning and see if I find any improvement 👍🙂

I think youre ignoring people who turn accurately and like gan cubes, which is a minority but a significant amount of people Still, you brought some really good points and you put them together pretty well so great video regardless

i mean, if said accurate turner turns at like 4-5 TPS that's not really a comparison to make. everyone can turn accurately at slower speeds. nowadays top solvers are regularly hitting over 10 TPS solves, which is truly where the "accuracy" part comes through.

Never tried the 12, but I have the 11, 14, and 15. NGL the 15, isn’t worth it. Cuz sure the performance is there, but it feels too much like a weilong, while having comparable performance. So might aswell get a weilong.

@o77vh87 what do you mean by "weilong"? I absolutely hated the 2021 spring version of the weilong wrm, with it feeling worse than the 11, 12 and even the 13. I heard the v9 is very different, and the v10 is nothing like the v9. So which model are you talking about?

Bro you realise some people can turn well right? I saw a guy solving at a comp who is like 20 secs average but his turning accuracy is as good as mine (I am sub 7)

Well yes there are outliers, but most cubers are still slower than 20sec average. Gan cubes may FEEL the best or "nicest to turn" to many people (to me too lmao), but at a 20sec average level it is highly unlikely you can't also average 20 on a half-price Moyu. Most people don't benefit from Gan cubes, but the keyword here is "MOST".

I think our turning styles (including mine) have collectively become worse as the cubes started to forgive more, so the gan 15 isnt bad, we are just poche crybabys.

Weak argument. A good cube for top speedcubers is inherently a good enough cube for beginner cubers. I'm not saying it should be the first cube people buy and there's definitely better value options, but it's still a good cube to buy, especially if you like the GAN feel or want a super light cube. If anything, if you're getting serious about cubing, a cube that can support your potential at the top level is better because you won't need to buy new cubes as you get better.

In short, for its high price tag, compare to other cubes from other brands, this cube is not that good. Lets just say it. I bet if this gan 15 was from other brands have this high price with this meh performance for majority of masses except for the gurus of course, we would be talking non stop of how bad it really is. No baby-ing it. But since its gan, suddenly we have to say oh its good, just not for most people. We have to considered products its performance to its price and compare to others from other brands. If its good or not good why cant we just be honest about it. It make sense if you charge high price for your product it has to be really good compare to others and not just for specific people. After all, they are made with intention to suit wide range of people no ?

fair, but that's what is expected of GAN. As said by the CEO of GAN himself, they price it that way because that's what GAN customers are accepting to pay. but if it was another manufacturer, they probably, won't design it this way (plastic and piece design) or wouldn't price it that way. It's truly a GAN feel and what people like about GAN or accept to pay
