Oh hell yeah! This was my jam in the club many many……. Many years ago! The Gap Band still hits hard to this day!!! I love funk as early as I can remember being a little white chunky girl I’d rather watch Soul Train then American Band Stand! The song is in reference to the bombing of Black Wallstreet in Tulsa, Ok were The GAP Band is from. GAP stands for Greenwood, Archer, and Pine which was the heart of Tulsa’s Black Wallstreet.
