Hi Roger, Nice build and a great school project. This will encourage people in to woodworking. Not too sure about the wood, but being a dark wood I'm guessing larch but probably wrong. As always a great video Take care

It turned out nice for what you intended. Well done. I would have added some corner trim to cover up the ugly tongue and groove. With the corner trim, you could have made the top trim extend out over the corner trim. Since this box will be used by children, I would have added glue wherever brad nails were used. Over time, those nails will work themselves loose.

Yeah I did think that but it's more for display than practical use...it will only be used as a box a few times
