Interesting video - so when you ground balance to 20, what values are you looking for before you dig?
@11111972cjb7 жыл бұрын
Digger D. Don't you just love these guys that don't respond to you!!! One year later and still no reply. What does that actually say about those that don't respond? Either too lazy, or, couldn't be bothered, or, you are not important enough to him. Whatever it is it's extremely rude.

I have an AT Gold (just a higher frequency Pro). Dont look for VDI numbers. Cranking the sensitivity up and lowering the ground balance allows you to hear areas of concentrated mineralization so you can snipe spots with heavy black sands, bird shot lead and so on. Works great if you're in an area with glacial till placer gold or flood gold.

No, it cant. I have the AT Gold. Flour gold wont pick up on anything but the super top notch detectors ($3000-$4000 range) and even they have a hard time. But!! Cranking the sensitivity up and lowering the ground balance allows you to hear where the mineralized soils, heavies and sands are concentrated. I live in NW PA, all we have is glacer placer gold, so sniping mineralized areas helps a bit.

Seems like a lot of work for a tiny amount of gold. How much did you actually get ?

I wish that there was a detector good enough to find rich ore on the tailing piles in Goldfield Nevada. He gold is at 300 mesh, finely disseminated in the Sulphides !! Nevada Historic Ghost Towns and Mining Camp Items Google Plus

It finds streaks that equals more gold.
@cenobitetoastcrunch88035 жыл бұрын
No detector could. You can use it for sniping areas with dense mineralization, little pieces of lead or bird shot, or heavy deposits of black sands. Im from PA and have to deal with sub 100 and smaller mesh placer and flood gold. Sniping heavily mineralized areas does occasionally lead to finding a little bit of color. Its certainly not a replacement for good old test panning, luck and reading geology, BUT! Its a useful tool on occasion.

you really need to learn how to pan. I could have ran through those cons in 2 minutes and feathered the black sand away from the gold.
