UPDATE: gas tick is back! It starts after 50 seconds in the gas, then rises by 5 HP every 10 seconds. More info here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z17UppmOrdmXg9U UPDATE: Irradiated has been BUFFED to a 20% damage reduction instead of 10% (so now the gas TTK is 19 seconds with Irradiated) and it lets you plate in the gas, so it's even better!

Well medic vests are still the best vest for gas plays because unlike the ghost, tempered or comms vests, the Medic vest helps in gas plays by speeding up revive time which is crucial if you're on an especially high tick.

at the time of this video there was no gas tick so there was no purpose for a med vest when making gas plays

No gas tic increase just makes it way too easy for anyone. I ended up having a like 7 minute gas play with not too much difficulty yesterday. the easy solution on top of increasing gas tic over time could be to nerf the medic boxes and the medic cabinets in the boats and on the walls from 2 stims to 1 stim and also disabling the ammo supply crates once the circle closes pass them in the gas. Regardless what they decide to do i think there should be somesort of time limit of how much time you can spend in the gas Regardless how lucky you get with stims and gas mask in supply boxes. The simple solution is to just make it more difficult with gas tic increase or just make it so theres only 1 stim in medic supplys on the walls and the boats to make it more impressive if you pull it off. Also forgot to mention that stims should only heal half your heath and not all the way like it uset to be.

They actually did nerf the cabinets they have a chance to drop battle rage or whatever. Usually it drops one battle rage one stim. It’s the tick damage that needs adjusted

I found a bug couple days ago where you can duplicate gas masks, as you are stowing it from your face to the inventory gotta keep clicking left mouse button and it puts bunch of them in your backpack, have to time it right bc when you do it the inventory closes but not always, hope that helps

additional question: does the resolute perk speed you up in the gas, or does it only speed you up when you get shot?

the description is "When taking damage from gunfire, it grants a short bonus to movement speed" so it specifically mentions gunfire, presumably that excludes gas damage, explosive damage etc. From my experience it doesn't feel like I go any faster in the gas with resolute vs without

Wow. I would've guessed a perk specific to allowing gas plays would give more than an extra 2 seconds.. My assumption was 10 as I haven't played warzone (broken ttk currently). The med vest and survivor perk although not helping with gas does have an unlisted effect of increased health regen speed from 7s to 4s. Maybe that could be utilized somehow.

There is also worth to know that having shield on your back when running, EVEN if you're not carrying another weapon or running with knife is SLOWER than running without any weapon at all. I dare u to test it, you'll get surpised!

yeah it's a small speed reduction, running with a knife is still very fast, especially with the Resolute perk speed boosting you whenever you take damage

I had one that was also stimming and we ending up playing til 9 minutes and then he finally died. I had like 20 people watching me too cause they was so mad I was using a riot shield haha

If you're using self revives the medic vest does have viability for a gas play

not really - to live longer in the gas you want to drag out your self revive as long as possible, so even if you have a medic vest to revive faster you'd be sitting there waiting until the last second anyway (unless the gas damage has increased so you need to revive faster, then med vests are useful to survive the gas tick)

I found a snapshot nade on top of a dresser and when I picked it up I immediately tried to throw it down to see if anyone was around me. The snap shot was still in my tactical slot even after I swapped it back to smokes. So I could throw a duped smoke, swap to the snapshot and repeatedly dupe smoke grenades. I threw about 10 smokes in around 10 seconds.

@@jamcowl its definitely more than that even at close range to mid range. I watched a video where a guy explained how now arms count as body shots and not extremities. I think it’s probably a combination of weapon damage and how the hit box damage values work now. TTK definitely needs to be higher.

@@GHCMargarita yeah I'm just saying it's "partly" the low recoil... flat damage modifiers across the whole body also help keep the TTK fast because you're not taking minor hits to the limbs you're taking major hits to the limbs. Lots of factors, not just weapon damage alone
