Papa, I’m studying to receive my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and my LCPC licensure. If this “therapist” knew anything AT ALL, she’d know that recording what her and her client have been working on in therapy and the clients progress is highly unethical and would immediately get her license revoked if it is reported to the board, even if the client says it is okay. No rational therapist would ever agree to that type of request from their client. There’s no clinical need whatsoever to release this information. Even if you were under the obligation to report anything discussed in session, you would go to the appropriate agency necessary to give that information. You would not EVER make any statement about the patients progress being fully aware that the intent of making the statement is for the client to post to social media. It’s wildly inappropriate, unethical, cause for immediate revoke of your license, potentially bordering illegal and just beyond stupid. That is not a real therapist, and if it is, fingers crossed for the patients under her care. *Edited for grammar & sentence structure*

@Dexter Yup. It 1000000% does. Even if the client tells you that they’re okay if you share their information, you don’t have the right to share it under the law. It would be like telling your primary care doctor “hey can you voice record yourself telling people about how you tested me for std’s and the results were that I don’t have std’s” lolol any doctor would be like “uhm no, but you can tell them and show people your own lab results” 😂😂 that scenario sounds insane and obvious but it is the same exact thing we follow as mental health practitioners/therapists. That recording is either so unbelievably fake, or she’s a an idiot who doesn’t deserve to practice

@@aerozin it wasn’t the age of her voice that caught me off guard, rather it was the words and tone she chose to use to describe him. Her sentences weren’t structured well and the use of clinical terminology was lack at best. If you’re making a public statement about a clients current psychopathology and their progress throughout therapy (which you shouldn’t but for arguments sake), I would only assume that at least she would maybe describe what therapy techniques they’re using, what their goals of therapy were, how he’s meeting those goals, etc. None of that was ever mentioned, just a very basic “yeah I’m his therapist and he’s a good person” LOL
