Papa seems like a great person to convince people. He doesn't have that ego to not admit his past mistakes and can understand. Although I cannot understand how "boy" is racist. If anything, it would be insulting in terms of difference in authority or age.
@micaiahdevorah79683 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's racist nowadays but it was a demeaning thing done specifically to black men in the past. Kind of like if you called an Italian a wop, not currently considered bad but can still carry meaning if it has a negative intention.

Hey 👋🏽 black person here. Calling a white person or a non-black person a N****** lover is NOT worse than calling a black person a N****** not even close. It’s just not the same. We have ptsd and generational trauma from that word and not being able to do anything about it. It’s not even comparable. But thank you for standing up for us and disassociate yourself from racist people.
@brankbrank64172 жыл бұрын
I can see that perspective, to papagut prolly saying N lover is worse because they are saying the N word on top of insulting someone for associating themselves with black people. Either all both bad words 😂
@quincyjones56762 жыл бұрын
@@brankbrank6417 Right, but hes not a black person so he doesnt know how it affects us. Im black and my husband is white, I got experience in this. Someone saying he's a N lover does not harm him the way it does me when white people say im a N word. Theres no comparison. In fact he is able to shrug it off and laugh at it. And I grew up in a racist all white town. I wanted to kill myself before.

When it's put into the context of belittling a black man by saying "listen here, boy-" then, yeah, it is racist.
@JoelEmmettMcGarrity3 жыл бұрын
Take, for example, the word “boy.” When being used to refer to a small child, most of us don’t think twice. But when the word “boy” refers to an adult black man, and the speaker is his white supervisor who’s just passed him up for a promotion, it takes on a much different meaning.
@TyGalouboy3 жыл бұрын
Boy
@whitedogsblackcats2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the context. But if you are white calling a black man "boy", not in like a " your my boy" way but in a belittling way, it is racist. And the reason why it's racist, is because the history behind it. In slavery, black men were called boys to degrade them. It's belittling because it's white people talking to black men like black (grown) men are childern. And because of their blackness, whites felt superior over black men, resulting them in using boy as a term to belittle them. So yeah its racist in that context.

I am very sorry that it came to this and thats how you get treated in the end. I have seen a few comments about you "responding emotionally" and "letting your emotions taint your views" nah, I see someone who was wronged after all they did to help another person and just showing everyone out there who that person really is. It's the internet, hell this is YOUR channel, you're allowed to post things like this as much as you want. I just hope you don't have to post anything like this again. It's shitty this is the "thanks" you get for helping

It depends on how you come off/the context of how you say "boy". In this case , it was highly unnecessary to even use it. For me (as a black person) it just feels weird to even say or hear bc I know the history behind it. But again, depending on the context and how it's said, there shouldn't be too much of a fuss.
@carino57463 жыл бұрын
black person here. yes, the word boy aimed at a black person USED to be racist. its literally not anymore. we could give less fucks if you call us that. its not offensive to us now and at this point its our slang and language. unlike the n word, we do not care if people say "boy" or "girl" to us.

Guys, even if someone is a bad person respect their pronouns, it literally says in their bio 'they/them'.
@c0nner2253 жыл бұрын
OnlyJayus's description specifically says "They/them idc" That usually implies that they don't care much about the pronouns people use for them. It could mean that they don't care what people think about their pronouns HOWEVER they should defenitly be more clear about that, if it's the case. As far as I know they use any/all pronouns/ don't have a strong preference.

i never knew jayus was this bad because i just watched her yt shorts and just skipped past them when the video was done, but i never really looked into her channel or her tiktok, (i do not have tiktok installed.) so i was never really caught up on this stuff and when she got cancelled i never knew about that i that she was just doing psychology tricks to play with people. another thing that i thought would not get her cancelled was robbing people or how to like the blind video that you mentioned in this video. i thought that it was a joke and of course i thought that because who would ever post it, i mean thats basicly a death wish on canceling, (i do not know if this was another reason she got cancelled or if she got cancelled multiple times except for the time where she called somebody an "N word lover" so if i am not correct on this then tell me in the reply's, but anyway i thought she was a good person not a person who just thinks they are better than everybody else. and i think you did an amazing job trying to save her from getting cancelled and i think you are a very good person who looks out for people but sometimes things can get out of control. if a person does this to you more than once and doesnt talk to you like a friend then just talk to them and say "i dont think we should be friends anymore, blah blah blah" but anyways thank you for spreading this information to hundreds of people you are doing amazing with yt!

My frustration is this dude backpedaling on his racial defense of her saying she was young and didn't understand the meaning of it, and then once he has an issue with her totally 180s and says that she's most certainly a racist. Either she's one or the other dude, her being a d×ck to you and being racist are very different issues. Not saying she is or isn't racist, but your overview on it is now totally invalid because u revealed what determines her "racist" status.
