The Gathering Storm - A 'Battletech Animated' remake

▶ Hi, I'm Vux and I produced a video :)
▶ This is a machinima remake of introductory scene of episode 1 of the "Battletech Animated" cartoon from 1994. The concept I had was a shot-for-shot remake of the cartoon, with adaptations and additions as appropriate. I adapted certain tricky features (such as the 'Enhanced Imaging' scenes) with the resources I had available.
▶ This project was about ~5 months in the making, involving quite a few people. I wanted to keep the script and dialogue very faithful to the original, with the intent to mirror the style/attitude of the original cast as well as we could. I opted for the more classic "slow lumbering battle robots" feel featured in the cartoon, instead of using MWO's much higher speeds. We also tried to match camos and loadouts as well as we could, with as few changes as possible.

That was, AWESOME. I sat through the entirety of the original run of the animated series and I have to say, even the purposeful reenactment of the original dialogue was well matched to the new animations. Wicked job man. I look forward to the continuation of your team's project.

IMPRESSIVE WORK. Movement and scenes were dead-on accurate and highly faithful to the original. The dialog was too, and I was especially impressed with your Enhanced Imaging trick, that was superbly done. I also noticed you included some footage of what I assume was the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO as certain scenes in the Somerset Academy barracks.

I loved it! The voices were great (especially Malthus). Let me know if you decide to splice some live action bits. We made a FedCom coolant vest and uniform, and I am working on the neurohelmet and a FedCom dress uniform for GenCon Indy 2017. Also, check in with Bravo Whiskey Charlie for info on their BattleTech film.
