My Old Ass is a wonderful little film, and both older and younger girls' queerness is very much a part of the film. I think this film was great because it was about a girl who didn't know she could also be into a guy, and not in an alienating way (maybe it's got to do with the fact we know she dates women again later?) and she had to deal with her feelings about that. It was also really lovely to see Aubrey Plaza be sweet (between the usual sarcasm, of course!). She rarely gets called on to play sweet, and it was really...well...sweet.

my old ass is insanely queer and follows the story of discovering more about your sexuality than you'd originally thought. it delves into the ideas on not being any less queer just because you might be attracted to the other gender. the story is very beautiful, and though that's one of the storylines, the main one is coming-of-age, just told through a queer lense

I love that there is a video of Kathryn Hahn reacting to the Roundtable video (the one with the carol music playing in the background) AND another video of her on a talkshow adressing it and being like "I am looking at her very longingly...It looks like I am madly in love with her...AND I AM! I think her character Lenny. I think this the the her character in season 3. I think what it was was just her being her regular flirtatious self with anyone and that her heart was with salmon or as we knew her in season 2 new Janine. Yeah I think that was where her heart lied or lies and I think it was just her with you know just being her flirtatious self when she meets. I think her name was twitch or no switch. Audrey Plaza is bisexual in real life, so she's in character for the gay roles already. But I would never expect Kathryn Hahn to kiss ladies onscreen because she's straight and I thinks it's uncomfortable for a heterosexual actor to do gay scenes

I've just seen Agatha All Along and I'm utterly disappointed. The entire first season has nothing more than a few hints that Agatha was in a love story with Rio centuries ago and ONE kiss in the last episode of season one which promptly converts Agatha into a ghost. I wouldn't wonder if this got terminated, if there wouldn't be a season 2, just like there won't be a season 2 of Warrior Nun. The overload of drama in the series has by the end of season one already made most viewers turn away because that's nowhere near romance, that's drama for the sake of drama with an occasional few seconds of hinting to a possible romance in between that never happens. My Old A** I've seen just last week and is an even bigger disappointment, because that's like an anti gay movie playing into the idea that a gay girl is only gay until she meets the right man, exaggerated to the suggestion that a very short time with a man and be single for the rest of your life would still be better than a complete happy life with women. Afternoon Delights has nothing gay in it, just two totally different women making friends for a short while, breaking their friendship again and going on with their lives.

I felt like Afternoon Delight def had some serious subtext going on. It would have been more explicit if they'd kept the kiss, but even just the way she responds to getting a lapdance from the girl and how she's almost sneaking off for these coffee dates... it said something to me. I wasn't mad she ultimately stayed although I would have loved it more if she actually broken out of that constrictive mould she'd been busting to get out of all movie and made some kind of change - idk like pursue an interest or career.
