The Geese are Restless (C&O 614 on the Southern Tier)

Chesapeake & Ohio #614 yells and screams. Kicks and shouts. Rips and tears at the rails of the ex Erie Railroads Southern Tier Line in the summer of 1998, but manages to find a calm cool resting spot for all to catch their breath.

If the C&O ordered more Greenbrier locomotives following the completion of 614, chances are they would have been classified as J4 but with some more improvements. Such as increasing the tender fuel capacity of 30 tons of coal and 23,500 gallons of water and a boiler pressure of either 260 Psi or 300 Psi.

not that bad for C&O 614 would CP 12 86 will be resotred for the Erie as Erie 1286.
