The Gems of Farukhabad 2012 - Tabla Solo in Tintal by Shri Gourishankar Karmakar

In 2011, on the occassion of Ustad Keramatullah Khan's birthday, Shri Gourishankar Karmakar (disciple of Pandit Sankha Chatterjee) performed a tabla solo for his students, with a particular focus on Ustad Keramatullah's compositions as well other traditional Farukhabad compositions. Harmonium accompaniment is provided by Shri Sameer Kotasthane.

Utterly amazing performance. Consider myself very fortunate to hear traditional and authentic tabla without the modern day gimmicks often heard today. Played and executed with utmost precision and excellence to an outstanding standard. Gourishankarji is a credit to his Guruji and a very under rated torch bearer of tabla. The phone or email or address of Gourishankarji Pele bhalo hoto. I had been a disciple of Late Dulal Bhattacharya, belonging to Farukabad Gharana. Left taking talim due to circumstances, desire to take talim now. Please help if possible.
