Hello Bernie. First time visitor today and wondering, with all of your Civil War railway knowledge, maybe you could solve a mystery...See Abdill's "Civil War Railroads" and Page 102. The locomotive 'President' working the ballast train at City Point. The tender was working reversed coupled and I can't figure what the problem could have been for that to have been a solution.
