Hey Everyone! Hope you enjoyed the video! This video has been in the works for about a year, so I'm glad it's finally out there! I want to give a huge shoutout to Kantopia ( twitter.com/maikantopia ) for translating passages of Yuka Tsjuiyoko's interview in "The Making of Fire Emblem" book. This video wouldn't have been possible without their help!

I’ve been a Fire Emblem fan for over a decade and I’d never known this! Thank you for sharing this information. That part about a dusty CRT and a GameCube controller got me in my feels!

to this day it still shocks me that only 1 person composed end of despair and honestly the rest of the fe4 soundtrack which is one of my favorites in all of gaming. Also nice quality on the video I really like how well the presentation is good job pavise!!

There are a good number of Fire Emblem tracks that make excellent use of the magical music theory combination of repitition + "call and response", which really helps them stand out and sound more memorable. For example, it's easier to recall the melody of "Fodlan Winds (Rain)" compared to a more free flowing track like "A Funeral of Flowers (Rain)".

As a FE fan and musician, i appreciate this deep dive into the production of the Fire Emblem theme. Don't see this often with the FE communitty.

Incredible story, I did not know the composer behind the early Fire Emblem games until now. If there is such as thing as the "National Anthem of Gaming" then the Fire Emblem theme might be it - and this lady composed it! She is definitely underappreciated. Genealogy is probably my favorite soundtrack among these, it's just brilliant.

So, the ost of the first game was inspired on pop music of the time... Now, that explains why the victory theme is so similar to We are not ganna take it, from Twisted Sisters.

Fire Emblem songs are inspired by classical music, check Vivaldi - Four Seasons (Winter) and tell me there is no influence from it...
