​@@farbod1233Its heavily and I mean HEAVILY stated that binding vows reprocussions are tremendous. Its like gon giving up all of his nen to use it at once. Miwa was stated that she could never hold a katana again because she made a binding vow when striking kenjaku at the end of shibuya. Miwa litterally cannot use any of her powers from now on because she sacrificed her everything for nothing to happen to kenjaku. Binding vows are not a common thing to do, but it is a possibility.

​@@farbod1233Yes but not exactly. A binding vow of death can significantly increase your power. But if, for example, your power level is 1 and a normal binding vow would bump you up to 5, a binding vow of death could scale you up to 10. A heavenly restriction would yeild 30 coz it's a binding vow you have no consent in and its made at birth. But if your opponent is 50 or Big dog Ryomen Sukuna, you're still getting cooked. If another big dog makes a normal binding vow that bumps for only 5 points same as yours, it gets him 55 when even your binding vow of death gets you to 10 max. Toji and Maki's Heavenly restriction are the best offers while Mechamaru's is probably the worst . Breaking a binding vow to oneself is bad but even worse when you break one you've made with someone else. That's why even Bossman said it was a gamble when he was moving into his new home and why he still rocks with Kenjaku.

We know too little about him as a character for me to be able to do a full analysis on what exactly makes him tick, he's far too unpredictable. I also wanted to keep it spoiler free for anime only fans and we don't even learn Kenjaku's name until the gang first meets Tengen, so even just mentioning his name is kind of a spoiler.
