There are so many that ought to be canonized, Seraphim Rose, Nikolai Kotelnikov, I know there was a martyr in the Chechynan war, and Chiune Shugihara. We gotta be patient with this stuff. May the new saints pray for us 🙏

I believe the other word for “canonized” is “glorified”

At the start, you are mistaken. The canonization is in 2025. Now, it was published as the official decision. But the service for canonization will be in 2025.

Technically this is just the official announcement, but not the actual canonization itself.

They did not rush the canonization, they announced it'd be official. The canonization will be in 2025, possibly in February, when we celebrate 100 years of being a Patriarchate.
