Despite the win and the overall good performance if Bologna had more luck they could have grabbed the 1 point. The main problems I saw were first, the slow adaptation to the long balls that initally led to a few risky passes in the back, second, Salah not being accurate with key passes that could have been assists (even though getting an assist in the end), third what I really did not understand was why the boys are not taking shots when they are in dangerous positions. They have overcomplicated a few attacks and were afraid to shoot when around the 18 yard line. They tried to give just one more extra but difficult pass to make it a big chance but more often than not the Bologna defence intercepted the ball. They should have just shot, especially since they can be deadly with mid- and long range shots too. Szoboszlai had an amazing game, contributing much more than what he's getting credit for, but he was also too unselfish.

after pushing the team forwards in the previous game, van dijk went back to dragging them to a halt with the ball; everybody just standing still, as if they expected bologna to just walk off the pitch. bologna played the way Liverpool FC should have been playing: quick, confident one-touch passes, and men moving around off the ball. my beloved reds were lucky to escape with one point, much less three. glad of the result, dismayed by the performance. If bologna was marking 1 v1, that's when you pull out the One Touch passing that we always see in the training videos. That's how you get through that kind of defence. You don't just stand there sucking your thumb, as Liverpool did for much of the first half.

@@colinrobinson4233 we were pretty bad ar the end of first half and bologna had few spells if we had that final pass we could have had 3 or 4.bologna got most of their clearcut chance out of our errors and their long balls they didn't necessarily dominate or break us down.we deserved the win since we were more clinical bologna probably deserved a goal.But as I said if you watched the game don't only focus on negative also look at our positives.We deserved to win at the end

I'm not expecting us dominanting or grinding it out for 90 minutes .. as long as we get the job done early without casualty(injury/red card) or risking injuries. No need to win 4-0,7-0 ... not leaking at the back will hopefully stop us from drawing too many games like we did in few seasons, especially last season where we were 9pts off Man City 91pts ... in other words, we draw 5 games too many. I rather we lose 1 game and win the next 4 games. Think about when we loss the title on very last day by 1pt twice. The reason? Too many games ended in a draw cost us 2 PL titles and halted our assault last season when we needed to win 4 games, instead, we draw in 5 games.
