That truly is a stunning exterior effect at very low cost. However, it does look messy from the interior side of the window unless completely hidden by drapery. I could not stand to give up that much sunlight during the short gloomy days of winter.
@auntiec6294
@auntiec6294 Жыл бұрын
I'd have to cover the back too! Curtains hung a few inches away from the lights would allow the heat to escape. It would be a gorgeous effect if the right type of material is used, such as a heavier sheer or semi-opaque curtain. That's a great idea...thanks for sharing it! 👏🏻

I did this for Halloween 2016. You don't need a projector, just trace any paper or felt cuts out decorations from Dollar Tree or any traceable object you want to use. Use the black foam board to trace your object, use a exacto knife to cut it out and tape to the window. I bought a cheap orange thin shower curtain and taped it up around the whole window (You can use orange cloth or a orange tablecover from Dollar Tree also). Turn on a bright floor lamp or a bright ceiling light and leave all other porch and outside lights off. The silhouettes will show up on your window at night. You can use different color shower curtains or tablecovers as background colors for Christmas.

As far as how it looks in the inside it doesn't bother me and for those who don't like the way it looks inside then figure out a way how to cover it up! This gentleman is showing us an idea of how to do an inexpensive decoration. It doesn't mean you have to do it the exact way. Use your imagination to figure out how to change or cover up what you don't like! There are more important things in life to me.... like my husband going through chemo treatments for over a year now. Than to worry about how it looks in the inside. Thank you for sharing your inexpensive Christmas decoration ideas I truly appreciate it! Have a blessed Christmas!💖
