The problem here is that even if you do 100% believe the "victim" here without evidence, there still is no crime, legally or morally. She was an adult out drinking and participating in intimate game in and intimate setting. Dude made a move and touched her, she got up and left because she didn't want to engage, and no further incident occurred. It's not even a story worth telling.

That's exactly what I'm getting from the whole story, what is really the moral here? We could say: don't ever touch anybody without getting verbal enthusiastic consent first and yet that's just not how real life usually occurs, speaking, of course, from experience. It's not like I can really blame the guy that touched me and ultimately respected my decision not to pursue like George respected Caitys decision and didn't pursue when she didn't, that's really all these is to it

He says he thinks she was having a good time, she says she wasn't, as a person whos been in her position I'm not particularly mad at the person who did similar things to me for not knowing.@@vanitaslover

The girl said multiple lies/bent the truth and George gave proof of those with sharing thr texts between them. Now you cant prove anything that happened between them in real life, it was proved that she lied, being said you dont know if you can take her word for anything. George's side seems more believeable,and it looks like the girl is exaggerating things to make it look worse for George, probably because she has seen how much support Shelby is getting being an actual victim

I don't believe he should be criticized or attacked in such a harsh manner with no evidence. Caiti has every right to regret what happened back then, but the video/stream she created came out of nowhere and was clearly intended to provoke a reaction from people. If the situation was truly that bad, it should have been handled privately/legally. I don't understand why people share something so serious for everyone to view and judge.

There are valid reasons for people to go public with their experience with content creators, especially popular ones with a lot of influence. That was the case with some of the older KZbin creators that were outed for being child predators, abusers, scammers, groomers, ect. Even just sharing your story of sexual violence might make a community of people that support and understand each other, however this situation doesn't really fall into that category and didn't seem to come from a genuine place of vulnerability with how Caity emitted the 21+ bracelet, the game on her phone being passed around the whole couch of people, and just the general language she used. She didn't even try to tell people she regretted drinking illegally, putting herself in dangerous situations by going to places that were 21+ which should be the take away from the situation. Of course, you can say not to ever put your hands on somebody (even if you're under the influence) without verbal consent (verbal consent can be technically coerced so you aren't really safe there either). Perhaps, that should actually be the real take away, don't go to parties, don't drink, don't touch people (that's not how real life works) Is essence, I fully agree that the vile comments in his direction don't have a truly valid place to be but twitter will still go "ROT IN HELL" at him

@@HelloHi-ek2nk I personally support victims telling their story out publicly but it is cringe to publicly shame someone purposefully and not provide any evidence at the same time. If someone thinks that they should expose someone for something this serious then at least put some effort into it. Also i am saying victims should come out in like serious allegations like SA, Grape, DV, Coercion etc and not like someone disliking that another person made them pay for a meal or someone ghosted someone or some petty stuff like that.

@@Leon-bg7gk The real difference between Caitys situation and Shubbles is that her story was backed up by other people that experienced similar treatment from Wilbur, like biting and manhandling Niki talked about in an old stream, manipulation behind the scenes, ect. I think just how it was handled with Shubbles coming forward from a genuine place it's so much easier to believe and sympathize with her. Her goal was to uplift other people and protect others from a potentially still abusive person, that is a justifiable and even noble reason to come forward. But with Caity? I don't see the actual reason why she couldn't come to court and get some justice, there are a lot of people that already supported her, it just feels disingenuous

I also don’t wanna discredit her story and experience if it did happen but unlike George she has no proof only her own words. Unlike the Wilbur situation, there are others that can back up her story with similar experiences. Even Wilbur admits it to some degree. I’m not a fan of either, but I also agree innocent until proven guilty. Who knows maybe catibuggz has more on the matter and for me I’ll be neutral. I just hope cati will be ok if they are true

Its definetely organised in some capacity. Im sorry to say it, but its too suspicious that two ccs from the same group are being accused of the same thing in the same period of time. Maybe because evidence is extremely difficult in a scenario that rarely has evidence. No one walks around with a camera filming every thing they say and do. That’s why it’s such a difficult thing and discussing ur story always results in a plethora of backlash on both sides.

Legally speaking, what usually happens when there isn't and can't be be concrete physical evidence like a DNA test, rape kit, ect that proves *certainly* that something of that nature happened, there are other forms of, still, *evidence* that are looked at, like statements that are collected from a non bias point of view, of people that were just there or nearby. If that's not enough to say a verdict the whole context is looked at, the accused character in general(if he had such accusations before), what kind of environmental it was, ect. I'm just saying this because i saw a few other stories like this go viral, a girl got drunk at a party, met a guy that was also drinking and they had intercourse. The way people reacted was vary varied, the girl did go to court with that story and in the end after a long process that was milked for views just got poor popularity for drinking, promiscuity and partying at a young age. I'm not saying that Caitys feelings aren't valid and that what happened wasn't bad or traumatic for her, it is fully up to her how to view her story from her perspective. And yet Georges point of view has it's validity as well just with the way their stories match in their general sense. They went to a parties that were supposed to be 21+, got into a hotel room and played drinking games where things got moderately intimate and then went their separate ways, never to meet again. That story can be looked at differently from both sides and that can't be ignored. It is scary to live in a world where your story can be ignored and invalidated but things aren't just black and white in the real world
