Great rendition! Grateful for the hard work of choir members and the conductor. It’s not easy to develop a children’s choir a choir this successful! I was brought up in a children’s choir as well and I treasure all the good times with the team and am very thankful to those involved in providing us with all the best trainings we had during those days resources were limited. I am 67 now

Appropriate that it's the GA boy's choir singing this, considering it was sung by that greatest of GA musicians, Graham W. Jackson, during the beginning of FDR's funeral procession from Warm Springs.

A very fine and very rare boy choir of the 21st century. This just never gets old. This number will stick in the souls of these young men and stay with them their entire lives.

I've been a choir/glee club member for many years and have never heard a choir who sang so beautifully. The blend could not be better; likewise the depth of feeling feeling.

Every time I hear anything by antonin dvork I'm reminded of a friend of mine, who one morning had me sit with him and listen to a good portion of New World. He was so excited," i know you'll love this!" I just said ,"ok," but really thought there was no way i ever could. Ever since though I've been in love. 3 I never did tell him... But I'm sure that he never doubted his ability in knowing me better than i know/knew myself.

Beautiful arrangement. Love the clarity of the choir's sound. Dvorak would be happy.

One of my favorite symphonies..."The New World" by Antonin Dvorak. I never knew words had been written for it, but I always loved the melody, especially this part of it. If you've never listened to the entire symphony, I suggest you do so.

Goin' home. Goin' home. I'm a-goin' home. Quiet sigh, some still day, I'm just goin' home. It's not far, just close by, through an open door. Work all done, care laid by, goin' to fear no more; Mother's there 'xpecting me, father's waiting too, Lots of folks gathered there, all the friends I knew. All the friends I knew. I'm going home Nothing's lost, all's gain No more fret nor pain No more stumbling on the way No more longing for the day Going to roam no more Morning star lights the way, restless dream all done. Shadows gone, break of day, real life just begun. There's no break, there's no end, just a living on; Wide awake, with a smile, going on and on. Going home. Going home, I'm just going home. It's not far, just close by, through an open door.

Over one hundred years ago, when Dvorak wrote down this beautiful melody, (1893) a choir composed of Black people and White people (and I think there were maybe some Indian kids in there?) would not have existed. At least, probably not in Atlanta, Georgia. This music is beautiful, and it is also important to take a moment to reflect on how things are different today than they used to be, and that we can never take progress for granted. Because progress is never automatic- you have to fight for it, every single step of the way. Anyway, great performance.

This was a spiritual song, sung by slaves. Dvorak heard it while in America and incorporated it into his New World symphony. He didn't originate it, he copied it. It is beautiful. Haunting....

Great performance, video a bit ovely-cut - feels like a music video, as opposed to a spiritual hymn ~ journey. Dissolves could have eased the cut. Beautiful voices, though~!!!
