Fun Fact: Bismarck was supposed to be refitted with twin 406mm guns (Yes the FDG gun) with her 380mm guns along with Tirpitz's guns were to be given to Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. The only problem is that she sunk.

Nice Guide. Who knows if Bismarck gets any better After Operation Siren and the Gear updates. Might aswell get a Gold Version of the twin 150mm gun, that would be cool. Still doesn't fix the german Carrier Problem, but that can't be solved until the next new German Event or PR4.

Well why not try Z23? She is my first retrofit ship. And she is still my best DD. Mine is at level 117 and has 174 base FP, 175% main gun Eff, while still having 360 TRP and Destruction Mode skill is pretty high damager as well. I like her over Z1, Suzutsuki, Yukikaze and Ayanami tbh. Those last 3 just do =very little damage until their barrages proc or they torps go. While Z23 does insane DPS with only her main gun and also has some good barrages on top of that. She is slightly underrated imo. Just like Mainz.

The Unfulfilled Promise is only good if grinding for something whether it be PR ships or a map specific drop. Bismarck was in my Odin and FDG grinding fleets and the Unfulfilled Promise helped. Keep it as a backup equip you have, but not something you use for regular clearing.

Her barrage isn’t worth sacrificing an extra shell from initial salvo. Take the MK6 + white shell to turn her initial volley into a tactical nuke capable of oneshotting every mobs in the game.

I know the video is for fun but for anyone who wants a good Biscuit build use main gun: 406 mk6 or triple 381 (if you like golden) secondary: twin 150 AA: STAAG or Hazemeyer Aux: same as video but you should replace the black shell not the white one when using the FCR or the certificate For the main gun, she will deal more dmg using a triple gun over a twin one, the extra shell adds to the intial crit and her barrage isn't really strong for her to spam it using a twin gun. The mk6 gives her the higer dps The reason for the secondary is linked to her first skill, at a longer range the spread gets uglier, so you may need a gun with low spread or none. You can still use the triple 155 or other guns if you don't level this skill. The seattle gun (triple 152 HE) is a waste on any BB, better use it on your CLs AA: hit boost guns on your battleships always, plus Biscuit wont be killng any planes with her AA stats For the auxiliary salt and pepper is the best combination for max damage, The white shell is better than the black one so you never replace the white one. FCR gives you a high hit boost and the reduced cd on first salvo. The certificate is good only if you are farming for FdG or Odin, or doing a full map clear. Sorry not sorry for the wall of text

As an Iron Blood main, it pains me to see you not using her in a full German fleet, sad. Then again, she is pretty splashable into pretty much any fleet. Also, the fact you used her guns as well is pretty Deutsch I have to say. Let's face it. Bismarck's ultimate purpose is to allow you to run Tirpitz with another non-hybrid BB and let her deal even more damage than with her Lone Queen of the North skill (40% max vs 30%). Tirpitz will then one shot things as well as Warspite retrofit or Jean Bart. So yeah, if you don't have Tirpitz in your fleet, Bismarck is just okay. But with the two of them together, the memes are almost just as good as running Jean Bart and Richelieu together.

Her AA was revolutionary for the time... The only problem was they used Swordfish. A plane that was made of paper and wood. They went so slow it messed with the target leading system. The shells would just go right through the Swordfish because of how Swordfish were constructed... Because they were made of paper. Although compared to later ships her AA was then dwarfed. But still.

Bismarck was so easy to get when her rerun event happened (like seriously, she had dropped fucking 3 times and no U-556...). I'm only annoyed about her having only 1 skin (which is one of my favorite in the entire AL) and even her sister has at least 2 skins... I really like her artist, but c'mon she deserves at least one more skin like her sister to make some justice. I would appreciate something like new year's skin 😔 or a summer skin...

Its a ship whose sole purpose is to form the core of any given IB fleet. There is no way in hell she would be competitive Sakura, EU, and RN fleets given those nations' variety of excellently skilled vesseles. Hell, in PvP, FR BBs ironically chew through IB composition fleets because of pre-load shenanigans. As far as viable Main Compositions go, here are her companions that shouldn't conflict. Graf Zeppelin + Zeppy allows you to focus on CVs FdG + Odin for modern gunnery. If you are poor: Scharnhorst + Gneisnau (these are kind of rare drops being pseudo-event ships). Tirpitz's lack of cool skills at this point would keep her in the dock except as carrier escort since it takes Bismarck's skill to recover her lost damage potential when sortied with other ships of the line. For Bismarck to have increased flexibility, they need to reword her IB synergy skill to also include Vichnya & Sardegna allies. It would allow for so much more variety out of those niche "factions"
