That tall grass swaying in the breeze is like the ocean when it roils. Africa is a land so ancient that the history itself is alive.
@konigeurichderwestgoten44604 жыл бұрын
Every land has it’s own magic. Alaska’s dense forests and snow-capped mountains never fail to humble me. Germany’s dark woodlands are full of ghosts. And the South American jungles are claustrophobic and full of primal energy that just seems to soak into you. It’s an incredible world...

There’s nothing special about Africa especially for a place so big
@konigeurichderwestgoten44602 жыл бұрын
@@jasoncarto I dunno. I think the wildlife, especially the elephants are pretty special. Tanzania's grasslands dotted with the iconic marula tree. The large hills and the great rainstorms that flood the Zambezi river. The sweeping red sands of the Kalahari desert. The size of Okavango Delta's crocodiles. And my personal favorite, the honey badger. A creature that'll hunt a 15 foot python, fight wild dogs to keep the corpse, and simply sleep off a black mamba bite is seriously badass!

This film was the first film that gave me a true reference of masculinity. There's something noble and manly about this film that's hard to explain. I don't know if we'll see more movies like this these days. Every man should see this movie at least once in his life!

This movie shows you how a true alpha male should act. Despite your fears you push forward in order to get the job done, the alpha male is not created without fear, that's why Michael Douglas says in the movie to Val Kilmer "Now can you master your fear?".
@Zayl1016 Жыл бұрын
@@hzskillz1721 Alpha males are fake and gay, scientifically speaking.
@jpanderson2569 Жыл бұрын
@@hzskillz1721 is always think of the scene where before the first Remington hunt Michael Douglas points to the dancing Masai(sp?) warriors and says “now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going over to my friends so we can try to convince each other we’re not afraid.”
@hzskillz1721 Жыл бұрын
@@jpanderson2569 Exactly a great reference that fear was lurking in their hearts but it was about overcoming that fear with bravery which is what val kilmer managed to do to kill the second lion.

Remember going to the Chicago Field Museum several years ago with my family and we saw the stuffed Ghost and the Darkness, although back then I didn't fully understand their significance. Now I think of the primal fear they inflicted upon hundreds of humans. To be reminded humans are still part of nature, and that we don't always control the world.

Wow...what idiocy....Those vicious beasts were slaughtering innocent workers, and even wounded ones. And 1 human is worth many, many lions. Also, if a lion was rushing you you'd be the first to start screaming for someone to shoot it. And don't give me this trash about lions being nice. Most aren't, and also don't tell me animals are equal with humans, they're ABSOLUTELY not.
