I can’t imagine the anxiety, stress, fear of a father or mother who would have to take their children into an air raid shelter. Then to have something like this happen, over 160 men women and children taken in such a tragic event. I think it could definitely be the stone tape theory. Where the tragic incident is imprinted on the structural environment around the area where it happened. But then I could be wrong and it could be just the remaining energies from lives that were taken away too quickly and by extremely sad ways. Great Job as always Les. Wonderful research and wonderful work.

The absolute horrors of some WW11 story's are not known enough.!! I'm from Rotherham which was the absolute steel making Meca of the world in the early 40's right up till the 1990's.. which made us a massive target!! My father's home was bombed out in 1943. Thay then lived with the Salvation Army for Two years in halls and Churches . I have photos of my own house which i live here today of bomb craters in my back yard from 1944. Which are truly amazing.. But back then. Horror was excepted has a way of life.. But today we find it either fascinating or a story not often told.!! So a massive well done to you Les.. 👍👍

What tragic tales, and fascinating. Thank you, Les, I appreciate your compassion as you retold them, not just treating them as spooky entertainment.

Good stuff, Les. They were well told tales. 👍 😼 There are huge numbers of casualties in that story of 01/03/1943. We often forget the thousands of innocent people killed every month, on the Home Front. God bless them 🙏 😢
