I just found you while looking up hauntings. I'm handicapped and have to lie down often, but not sleep - you tell a wonderful tale, well-researched, with lots of revelevent images, and you have many that are over half an hour. I sure hope you put out more videos - your intelligence and research lead me to believe you could do a few magnificent videos on the hauntings of Kings and Queens - some of their residences are really scary...even if they're not haunted. I've liked and subscribed, and am looking forward to seeing what other videos are on your channel. Thank you so much for putting such good quality stories out there for us to enjoy.

Loved the video, thank you! I also love Mama Cass' gorgeous voice; I particularly love her singing Dream A Little Dream, so sad she died so soon. As an aside to the Robbie Williams story, the pub his dad sang in burned down not that long ago, the Leopard in Burslem - it was allegedly haunted. It had some blocked off rooms that were discovered only a few years before the fire. Such a damn shame as it was a beautiful building.

Great show as always 🎉. I honestly think what residents see is an Elemental. The drawing is very good and fits descriptions seen in other buildings and such like places. ELEMENTAL things have been described very much like the drawing of the witness 😮. There is very little knowledge of these rare paranormal beings and I am sure that's what has freitend these poor people. I myself purposefully visited 50 Berkley Square just over two years earlier and I have to say it defo made me feel uncomfortable. All I will say is that I sensed something that was not to be tempted or provoked in any capacity. There are things that are just not meant to be messed with and this is a place I would caution others to be careful with. I live in nearby Covent Garden and whenever I have reason to walk off Piccadilly through Berkley Square I always walk the other side. Incidentally for those interested and completely unrelated, The late HM Queen Elizabeth II was born in another residence on Berkley Square.

The several descriptions of "The Nameless Horror" are the only records I've ever encountered of anything like H P Lovecraft's monsters in the following century. Could he have read these accounts? Lovecraft's descriptions of "an alien geometry," and the tentacled horrors in his stories seem to have sprung from a fevered mind, but the idea that they -- and perhaps Wells's -- could have been inspired by reality is truly terrifying. Thanks for another wonderfully creepy installment, and Happy Halloween!

Another great episode GC! Loved this. Definitely an intriguing if terrifying ghost story..😳 .. Of course people exaggerate but the number of spooky accounts over many many years? Hmm. ... Thomas Meyer could be a likely culprit. The tenticle creature sounds like something conjured during a round of black magic, an elemental or thought form. .. And maybe, Mr Meyers being abandoned by his lover, instead of rekindling his love, the black magic somehow reversed upon himself & created the nameless horror..... of Mr Meyers forever to appear & seemingly un-alive visitors who enter the would-be maritrmony bedroom? However, the hauntings predate Mr Meyer? .. If there were still hauntings at 50 Berkeley, surely the maggs book shop staff would have witnessed something.? .. Thou am not sure there would be any one there during the night with the book shop being closed. .. Interesting about Elliot Cass not heard of her, but like all Hollywood celebrities they always seem to live each day as thou it is their last. Also interesting that dan akroyd or other celebrities have spooky accounts does this lead credence to ghosts? .. If there was something nefarious going on at No 50 Alllegations of hauntings (that are retold so many times that they become almost fact) would be a perfect cover story for illegal shenanigans... .. I have a Hollywood ghost story! .. Check out Telly Savalas (of 70s kojack fame) ghost story. .. Definitely Spooky not sure if it's real thou.. 👍👻☠️

A few of the victims didn't actually die at the address, but were sent to insane asylums. Don't know how well those institutions keep records of the discharges or deaths of those people - in case of a death at an asylum, probably those death records are on file in the towns where the institutions are.

Excellent presentation Nicola! As you stated (I think) the ghostly 👻 hauntings were "fodder" for ghost stories in the Victorian and Edwardian Eras. There is an actor named Simon Stanhope from Bitesized audiobooks who reads ghost stories based upon what you have revealed in this episode. The Octopus Ghost Man looks like he came from the set of Star Wars. Speaking of the Late Cass Elliott I remember that era. Thank you for this episode. 👻

You are very welcome and thank you so much indeed Jane! Yes the Victorians did love all things ghostly didn’t they! I must look into Simon Stanhope for sure 🙏👻🙋♀️

Another smashing video, as always! I jumped when I got the notification you had uploaded a new one. I would love to hear LA ghost stories, the podcast series 'You Must Remember This' has some good episodes on the spookier side of Hollywood (especially the Dead Blondes series) if you're looking for background research. Thanks GC!

Dear Nicola, Thanks for another amazing video. I first heard about this place on some television program years ago when i was a teenager staying home from school, sick. I remember thinking to myself, "how can anyone still think ghosts aren't real?!?!" Hahaha... Anyway, this video was awesome, and your research was very thorough; i don't think anyone else has been able to capture everything the way you have. Very well-done dear Nicola. Endlessly entertaining. I very much hope you will do separate videos on ghosts of LA & ghosts of hollywood. And i do think they need to be separate because hollywood as tinsel-town will of course be brimming with celebrity ghost stories but LA has more of that wild-west background and frontier town vibe, and of course there's the whole gangster/gilded age era too, which is totally the vibe for a ghost stories video, if you catch my drift. I'll be lookin out for em. Take care sweet Nicola ❤️

Good question! I don’t think they do as it is not a business premises anymore from what I gather, but if they do turn it into a spa perhaps you can get inside (if you are a bit flash with cash!) 👻🙋♀️🙏

Good grief! Who in their right mind would want to stay at 50 Berkeley Square? Those stories were horrifying! I liked the Laurel Canyon story of Mama Cass and her crush on John Lennon. We ALL had a crush on him! LOL Dan Akroyd is very into the supernatural. I believe his father was a ghost hunter and had a great influence upon him. I have heard a lot of stories he told about that house. Wonderful video, Nicola. Thank you for sharing these stories with us. Hope you have a great weekend. 😊

Hi Nichola, a friend recommended your channel to us ... and we're so glad he did! You are a wonderful storyteller and your voice is very pleasant to listen to. I wonder who would dare to spend the night at 50 Berkeley Square?!! I cannot imagine using a spa there, even if I could afford it! 😅 Not sure I'd want to spend the night at the Hollywood mansion either! We're looking forward to watching more of your videos. Best wishes ~ Julie & Lucy

Wow! Excellent video! I loved it. Those attic deaths were very sad. Those 2nd floor deaths are truly frightening. Moral of the story: don’t stay the night on a dare. Did anyone notice the first floor balcony support beams look like skulls? Don’t get me started on the Nameless Horror. Nope. Nope. Nope. Just think if you lived next door. I’m keeping a light on tonight! P.s. GUNS DON’T WORK ON GHOSTS!! 👻👻👻
@ghostcasebook1266Ай бұрын
Guns don’t work on ghosts 😂👻 I love this! It does sound like a freaky place doesn’t it? I did notice the supports were like faces. Strange really! 👻🙏🙋♀️

I visited Maggs booksellers several times over the years, buying and selling. I did ask once about any unusual activities, but the gentleman I spoke to denied anything was happening. I never got any bad feeling there, but I don't think I'm susceptible to such things.

Goodness that's an awful lot of sudden deaths! I wonder if there's a portal in the house? Very weird and spooky.
@ghostcasebook1266Ай бұрын
A few people have suggested that. If it gets turned into a spa will the portal become stronger if there’s water? I wonder 🤔
